So. Two thoughts on the first day (evening?) of Games coverage.

1) ...that was a SICK opening ceremony. I don't think I've watched more than patches of the opening previous years, but I watched the whole damn thing this time. And I pity London -- I have no idea how they are going to top that ( Read more... )

The opening ceremonies were certainly impressive. Both for the crazy awesome LCD projection tech and pyrotechnics but also for the gigantic synchronized masses of people in each display. The raver drum countdown and tai chi circle were particularly impressive for me.

Unfortuantely, I can't watch any of NBC's live streams because their site won't allow my OS to access them. Running 2K still. =|
