Wikipedia ftw, studying actual subjects ftl

Hmm.

Drove into Halifax for physics/chemistry review today. It's funny, this week I've been at school just as much as I would have if I had classes... but I don't have any. Fantastic.

Went home. Played a couple games of Starcraft before supper. Was going to study, but I was exhausted, so I went to bed at 9:00, with the intention of sleeping until 12:30 PM the next day. I woke up after an hour. And I've been up since.

I think the list for my new computer is finalized. Basically, next time I'm going to build my own. Def. Just, not enough time this time around to look into all the compatibility stuff. Also, I wanted it for the end of school, which should still happen.

Going into Staples tomorrow to get a sweet chair + mat for the new comp, then going into Halifax for a bio review. Sucks.

I have to study quite a bit tomorrow. I work Sunday morning, and then I'll be (hopefully) studying like mad Sunday night. Final exam is 10:00-2:00 on Monday.

Probably a good idea for me to try that bed thing again. I got rather distracted by looking up random things on Wikipedia. Speaking of which, here's a few random points of interest I came across...

Did you know:
1) The chance of contracting AIDS via any method aside from blood transfusion or childbirth is fairly low: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aids (right side, 1/3 of the way down the page)

2) Based on the current definition of a "hard drug", the only thing keeping both tobacco (nicotine) and alcohol from being a "hard drug" is the fact they're currently legal. Oh logic. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hard_drug)

3) Chronic users of cocaine can completely dissolve the barrier of cartilage separating the two nostrils, if the method of administration happens to be snorting. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cocaine)

4) Some of the talk pages are just ridiculously long (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Cannabis_%28drug%29, this particular article already has the talk page archived twice, so what you see there, triple it plus more). Seeing something like that can give you (or it gives me, at least) a pretty good idea to the sort of quality that goes into the articles.

I looked at other random stuff, like: SARS, Blu-Ray (glanced over, looked at some of the changes that had been made to the article since the last time I looked), Deep Throat (the porn movie from the 70's, still want to see it), Chameleons (yeah, learned about them too), Herbie Hancock, Ray Charles (only briefly looked over this page), Napster, Morpheus, Counter-Strike, and smoking (more specifically tobacco smoking, although I looked at marijuana as well).

Basically, I love the fact that I can just look up random stuff, and not worry about different formats of websites, or possibly false information. I feel much more confident reading something on Wikipedia than I would have if I simply googled it. Anyone can make a web page. On Wikipedia, you can put just about anything you want on there, but be ready for it to be torn apart and corrected by all the other users. =P

If only I could become as interested in the subjects I'm ACTUALLY supposed to be studying.
