Never forget how you felt as a kid.

Look little-you in the eye each time you encounter a child.

School is school.

My new Arabic class is unfriendly but I am not afraid. I feel optimistic and excited because this is the last semester of it and then I can take GERMAN. Very excited for that.

Sounds of Human Language Anguish should be challenging (why, oh, why didn't I memorize the IPA in LIN3010?!) but fun and definitely helpful for The Future. The class is full of lovely linguists and one math major.

Czech cinema is amazing. My classmates are mostly musicians and great people. I am going to love this class.

Ling & Sci-Fi should be fun if we ever get off the feminism kick and get to the science fiction. We're going to be creating a conlang and read a bazillion novels. This class is making me not want to be a feminist.

...

I have been writing, drawing, stencil-making, cleaning, reading, walking (Chip and I figured out I walk an average of three miles a day), singing, baking, and being myself a lot lately. I have been filling the pages of the notebook JesseSavageomg gave me for Susanakkah with alarming speed. The pages contain secrets, fiction, poetry, pictures, photos, directions, lists, and love. It makes me happy. I never leave the house without it.

Reading Another Roadside Attraction has basically solidified my plans to go out west this summer to live in a tipi for a month. And then England! England! Gosh, it's coming so soon and yet not soon enough.

I have been experimenting with vegan dishes in preparation for Year Five. The peach cobbler (with fresh peaches) I made is pretty good but the vegan cookies were awful. I should maybe look up recipes but I like to make up things as I go in the kitchen.

Chip came to visit today. We went to OBT, Wild Iris books, and the new coffee culture (former Sweet Dreams cafe). Then we put up my new clock and fertilized my Japanese peace lily. For dinner we went to Moe's and then we saw The Golden Compass which we both enjoyed a lot. I cried a lot and remembered why Ian McKellen is one of my favorite gay men EVER. I would like to read the books now. Anyone want to loan them to me?

In other news, I have been tagged in the youtube game. I'll probably make the video tomorrow.

My mom bought me a ton of sweaters so I basically look like Dan Brady's little sister but it's cool. I mean, sweaters are sweet.

I am very mellow right now and have been for the last couple of days. I have started using a biotin shampoo (thanks, Jesse) and my hair isn't as fall-outy. My next treatment is on MLK Jr. Day and that's good, too.

Mmmm, I think that's it.

So, how have you been?
