Enough Excitement For One Day.

My bowels have returned to normal, since 5pm yesterday in fact.

I arrived in Prague at midday, headed for a hostel in a working neighbourhood just north of the city centre. Good to be away from all the tourists.

My knowledge of the Czech Republic comprises a few things.

- I made a two day trip to Prague in 2004. I meant to stay longer but ran out of money.

- I used to watch a lot of Jan Svankmejer films on SBS when i was a teenager. Im guessing the Czech's love of stop motion films coincides with the countries love affair with puppetry and marionettes.

- A lot of the most popular naturally busty glamour/porn models (not BBW's) are Czech.

- I saw a film a few years back that featured an amazing drain. Thinking the drain was in England, i phoned Working Title Films who informed me it was shot in Prague. They had no idea where in Prague it was n to this day neither do i.

I had a snoozy then went on a five hour wander, all thru the suburbs to the east, down the back end of the city centre, emerging in the First district and Old Quarter by around 6pm.

Crossing the Vltava i unexpectedly ended up in a mild pickle.

It seems that if one wanders (ie, jumps the fence) into the Deer Moat section of the Prague Castle Royal Gardens after they have closed (i didnt even know they were the gardens... looked kinda wild n unkempt to me), one may encounter a military soldier with an Alsatian, who may detain one until two other military soldiers arrive to escort one to the Hradcany Policie Station, where oneself will be searched and have ones documents run thru Interpol. Upon one being cleared of any convictions, one will likely be told in very basic English to 'Go Home' and one will be very apologetic and not under any circumstances reveal that the real reason one was in the gardens in the first place was cos there is a Big Drain there.

Im tired. Goodnight :D

Oh, Btw, The famous sewer overflow chamber shown so vividly in chase scenes of 'The Third Man' has sadly been dammed, flooded and grilled off, im guessing for environmental reasons, making a trip thru the Wienkanal far less interesting. A piece of history has been lost.

arrests, prague
