The faxed resume
A resume was faxed to the place I am currently working, many comments were made about faxing a resume were had before the HR head came up to look at it. Then the real fun started. They addressed the cover letter to the founder that is no longer with the company, but said "dear sir or madam" In the body of the letter it gave his e-mail, which meant the only reason any of us could come up for faxing just went out the window. The cover letter also aid IT position, while the resume said fluent in windows 98 and 95 and some Mac experience, seriously, what the heck. It was at this point that the non hr people standing around started arguing about who got the send the e-mail response of "I got your fax. Why? No." The IT people here have to deal with enough stupid, I think putting a stupid person in IT would just be evil.
