I've finished painting up
Flammie! Well, more that I'm not sure what else I can attempt without risking ruining the whole thing, so I've reached a stopping point. Check it out:
But don't click to enlarge the picture. :| Seriously, looks much better in low lighting from a distance.
Oh, there was such drama! The tail broke off, for starters, and though I managed to glue it back together so it was still pretty sturdy, there was a bit of a weird bulge at the joint. The eyes were especially kind of fail, she looks rather docile and sleepy. XD But I do not have a very steady hand, so it was a real struggle to even manage that much. It was a lot of fun, though!
Side-view!
Of course, due to the problems I had with the initial sculpture, she's not reliably free-standing for more five seconds, so I may just leave her resting on a mound of blu-tac in one of the bookcases until I get the urge to tackle it again. In discussions with my flatmate we came up with an idea for a really cool stand for the second attempt, should be a lot easier.
Or I could just create some kind of rig and hang it from the ceiling so it looks like this:
But then, I don't have great record with things hanging from ceilings, so maybe not. X__o
*Rolls up sleeves* Okay, back to writing and other digital pursuits! Onto the last Cie'th stone in FFXIII. Velocingetorix or whatever. Every time I finally whittle him down to half health, he takes me out with Wicked Whirl! ;___;
