This is rather cool.
How many band names can you find in this picture?
Right now I am exhausted. I'm at work, but I'm exhausted to the extreme. Last night was a lot of fun. Jenni and Liz (aforementioned Other Liz who broke up with her boyfriend, per last entry) decided to make a project out of me. Jenni taught me how to straighten my hair, and it looks amazing this way. Liz stepped in and gave me make-up pointers. Jenni even presented me with a new top, which is gorgeous. We all went out to karaoke for a bit at Goodfellow's. It was a lot of fun until the undergrads who had just moved on campus yesterday invaded. It was a nightmare. We ended up abandoning the situation around 1 AM for late night Wendy's and watching Dane Cook: Retaliation at Liz's place. Then Jenni drove me home. I fell asleep. Now I am here. Overall, inspite of the explosion of co-eds, it was a fabulous night, and I felt really beautiful.
Two Points of Awesome to Share:
1. Going to see Hanson on October 11, in Charlotte. You can bite me, because you all know it's awesome. To quote the old saying: "If you don't have anything nice to say, shutup."
2. I also FINALLY got my hands on a copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, thanks to Liz. I know what I'll be doing while we're all hanging at Carribou Coffee tonight.
In light of my introduction to actually making myself look nice, I hope to purchase a
CHI flatiron in the next few weeks. I'm also thinking about getting a new hairstyle. I contemplated getting one a few months back, but in light of traumatic events I thought it wise not to succumb to my usual "MY LIFE IS CRAP I MUST HAVE NEW HAIR" implosion. I'm thinking some longish side-swept bangs and a nice trim. It will have to wait, though. Tomorrow is payday, but unfortunately I must be a responsible adult and take care of my bills and put a little way, so this weekend is not a huge shopping weekend. I want to go thrift shopping for my room, and I want to pick up maybe a few nice things for myself, but nothing major. Next weekend, however... it's on like Donkey Kong. I need new clothing, and not simply due to vanity. A lot of my clothing is old. I have a better job now, so I should work on looking nicer. Plus... I don't know. I just don't want to dress like such a frump anymore. I enjoy feeling pretty.
One thing I WILL be doing this weekend? Seeing Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix with Liz, finally.
LESS THAN A MONTH UNTIL FOOTBALL.
Now I have emails to send out about the division meeting, a luncheon to coordinate (I hate vendors), and applications to review. Busy busy.
