today was a good day

alright, so getting to sleep and getting up were difficult, but after that, everything went swimingly!

~For not having gone to class this past week, i think i did rather well on the German test today. Four parts. Part 1 = writing 10 sentances sumarizing what happend in "Das Brot" from the woman's point of view. Check! Part 2 = writing 10 sentances as a counciler for the husband and wife from "Das Brot". This is the only one where i only wrote 5-6 sentances cause i couldn't think of anything to tell them. Part 3 = Write 10 sentances as the teacher from "Das Stift" pulling a prank on his students and tell what they've learned from it. Check! I used Ebs' prank from Thanksgiving and as long as matt doesn't use it too, i'm fine. but it'd be really hard for us to have cheated off each other from where each of us were sitting. Part 4 = define a german word w/ more german words and use it in a sentanc. Check! So yea...I think i did pretty well, everything considered.

~English was good as usual. the only bad part was trying to convince 1/2 the class that the second paper we read had multiple theses, which it did! each paragraph could've been expanded into its own paper, but they kept saying that all the paragraphs fell under the one statement dealing with socioeconomic issues, but the problem w/ that is that that is so broad, it's not a clear thesis and the fact that there are other theses within it, means there are multiple theses and therefore, not a single one. Even Joe got annoyed at them! But at the end, we got the best assignment i think i've ever received: Spend at least 1/2 an hour outside today! I FREAKING LOVE IT! [O.o oh yea, i already posted that...]

~Ate lunch, played in the 'puter lab, then went out and fulfilled my English homework in the Grove. Spotted Luke and called him over to sit w/ me and we talked for about 1/2 an hour before our 3 o'clock classes.

~World Religions was alright today, it's still my favorite class. More talk about the historical validity of the Gospels. Then got in to the Gospel of Thomas and the other Gnostic gospels found in Egypt in 1945. Then into the Gnostic idea that earth was created by Satan and we're just addicted to our fleshy prision and we need to punish our bodies in order to free our spirit, either by flagellance or indulgence. Dr. Gibson started explaining indulgence as if you're addicted to cigarrets that (according to gnostics) you go out and buy a carton of them and chain smoke them till you hate them or you die. then he tried to use sex as another example, but everyone laughed and he stopped. heh...yea...not sure that'd really work....^_~ Oh! also found out from Larin that the place she works needs people once/twice a month for parties and that there's one coming up the last weekend of October and i might be able to get hired for that! So, yay job/money!

~Got out of Religions early and walked w/ Dar talking bout Christianity/Islam and conversions etc. and I guess it was his turn to follow me, cause we got all the way down to Lawrence and went in and all the way up to my room. I snuck in, don't think i woke lindsey, put my class stuff down, picked up my gym bag w/ my brand-spankin' new Taekwondo uniform in it, grabbed my choir binder and headed back out. By this time, we were talkin' bout TKD and how he stopped a few years ago at 3rd degree and was thinking about picking it back up! So i showed him the time-sheet and he said he might check it out! So Yay! Peoples!!! Got Dinner at *shiver* Fosters, but hey, dinner is dinner. PB&J.

~Got out of choir early! I was hoping we would, cause class started at 7 today and it's about 10-15 minutes to walk from Lawrence, and i wasn't sure if i'd be able to make it on time if it went fully to 6.45, but it didn't, so i didn't have to worry. Even got to the studio early.

~Sarah was teaching again and the only others there were a father and son, brown and 2nd Black, respectively. First time in my uniform. it's stiff...but i guess i'll break it in eventually. Also, it wouldn't really stay shut and sarah figured out that i'd only tied one set of strings on the bottom. it was an honest mistake and no one had ever told me the correct way to put the thing on, or how to tie the belt correctly, so i had to re-tie it. it was alright though. Worked on my form again. Then on front stance/walking again. Then, while the father and son were free-sparring, I learned Low Block, so practiced that w/ the rest of the form. It's easy alone, but putting all the parts together, remembering straight wrists, straight feet, bent knee, basically everything at once is the tricky part. Next, practiced front kicks. then learned what a side kick was. don't think i really did one...not a real kick, but just putting the foot where it should be were i to do one. X_x it hurts. ^_^ but that's kinda good. Sarah kept putting my knee up higher. I got it alright on my right side, but my left needs work. situps and pushups ended class. Good class. Practiced things that were learned before, learned something new. Good class.

~Showered.

So now i'm pumped full of endorphines, ready to do things and share my energy w/ people, and my roommate is still sleeping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not fair!

kyeong nae!, classes
