What's the policy on apping characters from games where they have different bodies? Such as if I was to app a character who is canonically robotic, but due to the nature of the game they are/were being played in they have been given a humanoid organic form--would they show up in that organic form, or revert to their canon robotic body?

You would have a choice to bring in the character in their human or canon form. :>

Okay, please accept my apology in advance for this as I try and make it make sense ( ... )

Hi there,

After going over it between us, we've decided to retract the rule about Transformers needing to be sized down, unless it's a severe height issue (like, Omega Supreme or Unicron or something ridiculous). So, you are free to app Red Alert at his canon height without making exceptions through AUs.

You ARE free to go the Pretender route if you like, of course, since (it's my understanding, anyway,) the Bayformer verse does allow for an "expanded universe" in terms of cast. And we could definitely see this as being justified through the app. So, the choice is yours, here. :)

Question about language/translation -- Pyro isn't really supposed to be understandable, so if he wore his bracelet outside his glove (which he'd do, because taking the glove off all the time to turn the thing on and off would be a pain, and it can't exactly project holograms through rubber, right), would the translation functions cease to work, as it's not in direct contact with his skin/DNA/whatever? So it wouldn't be keyed to him any more or something (assuming bracelets auto-key themselves to whatever genetic record they're touching/reading, so people would be able to accidentally switch bracelets and still have them work instead of having to find their "own" etc).

HAHAHA, I'm just trying to find a way to make it so that he IS mostly unintelligible because that's kinda the point...

Another question, and I'd rather just respond to this thread instead of making a new one and double-posting. AHEM.

We've got characters who are in a 'verse that we play out in IM RP, and it's our understanding that we'd be able to "import" that into the game? Especially since we're working on getting our chatlogs up on Googledocs and sorted by date, so they'd be readily accessible to other people. However, the whole thing has a lot of meta in it, including the characters referring and talking to muns constantly. Would it be all right if we had them conveniently forget the whole meta aspect, but keep the rest of the plot and CR intact?

Yes! Provided it's made clear when you link the logs that you will not be retaining the meta aspect, that's totally hunky-dory. :)

OKAY SO

If a webcomic artist apps one of their own characters, does it count as a canon character or an OC?

It would be an OC.
