Who: Cortana, anybody in or around spartanhaus
What: Being human sucks, and Cortana wants out. Failing that, something to take care of this goddamn headache.
When: Back during species swap.
Where: Various rooms throughout Spartanhaus.
Warning(s): No.

Being a combat AI assigned to one of the more...let's say unpredictable assets the UNSC had to offer, Cortana had always considered herself pretty good at handling the unexpected. When she had, thus, unexpectedly turned into a human due to a teleporter malfunction, she had quickly resolved to just deal with it as efficiently as possible. Would it be easy? No, but she'd certainly suffered worse. She'd just have to wait until the teleporters sorted themselves out. Whatever. She could deal with a little bit of time stuck as a human.

She managed to keep that outlook up for somewhere around 24 hours. As an AI, she could carry multiple lines of thought effortlessly. As a human, she found it difficult to keep one straight. She'd found a notebook with relative ease, and had quickly taken to scrawling all her thoughts into it. That, combined with keeping one eye on the network had merely succeeded in giving her a headache. Trying to ignore it had only succeeded in giving her a splitting headache.

That was why she was roaming through the Spartan base, the same notebook under her arm, rummaging through every cupboard and medicine cabinet she could find (that wasn't behind a locked door, anyway), looking for some form of relief. Aspirin, whatever. She wasn't in an especially picky mood at the moment.

...she also wasn't exactly considering the notion of one of the base's other residents confronting her in the course of her rummaging.
