Parker was Parker, all right, and she was also a big water drinker.

The door opened suddenly and Parker bounded through, beaming. She spotted Hardison on the couch and made a beeline for him.

"Hardison!" she announced joyfully, and then there was 120 pounds of blonde thief diving at him, enveloping him in a tight hug.

The cereal was everywhere, and Hardison was stunned out of his mind, but just as he got it in his head to complain, he realized this was Parker and she was hugging him. It was cool and all--actually, better than cool--but what?

"Uh--Good morning to you, too, Parker."

"It's a great morning," Parker enthused, not letting go.

"It's a wonderful morning!"

And she pulled back enough to reach up and pinch his cheeks.

Parker was pinching his cheeks.

She was high off her nut. That was the only explanation that made any sense. Whatever had gotten into the other people on the station had gotten into Parker and she was tripping like the day was long.

"Oh snap," Hardison quietly exclaimed and tried to scoot back. "Uh--good, that's real great. Say, do me a favor and don't dive off any roofs today."

"It's uh...rooftop appreciation day. So you just go up there and appreciate. No jumping. Gotta respect."
