Ever since falling out of the teleporter 8 months after he went in, Sonny has been avoiding the technology. He's also been avoiding the residential areas, staying on the edges of the cities as he makes his way back to the safest place he remembers: the abandoned Museum of Robots and Science.
He knows he looks like a mess, and it's hard not too when you're covered in blood, scratches and the stain of blue hydraulic fluid. It doesn't help things any that his head can't be properly supported on his broken neck joints, and his leg is badly mangled while his right hand and arm are scored with burn marks.
He very much wants to be repaired but Hypatia doesn't manufacture his model. He would have asked for help instead, except from where he comes from, people are more inclined to shoot at him on sight. I guess that's what happens when an army of your lookalikes start a war against humanity.
His only alternative: hide until the all the people leave this place. He's prepared to be patient.
