Shepard arrived with Motoko in tow and relegated the woman to the lower levels of the building. Lobby, basements, and first floor were all at her disposal. Upstairs was her only, but she was supposed to watch the pressure spots. She didn't need the cyborgs weakening the structure of the building and didn't need the construction drones that would inevitably follow.
The fact that she was in the building was irritating, but rational. It was a good move, despite what all her instincts were telling her, and she just had to rationalize it out. When she went upstairs though, it became apparent that her reasoning was just on this side of unacceptable and a far cry past obtuse.
She didn't like having Motoko here, but that didn't hold a candle to the flat scowl Garrus had leveled at her. He was an old master at not liking things.
