The faint sound of screeching and something heavy dropping onto some kind of structure wasn't exactly something he heard every day when he walked from home to the store. It wasn't a common sound in general, unless some kind of attack was going on, or a war. Neither of those were happening - at least he was certain the station wasn't being overrun by holograms again.

He certainly hoped it wasn't.

The sound was enough to cause the scientist to pause, look around, and seem somewhat confused when he didn't spot anything.

Then again, there was the sound. This time a bit clearer. Shockwave took a few minutes before he finally spotted the source; someone jumping from building to building.

Interesting.

Forgetting about making his trip to the store, he began following. Likely too curious for his own good.

Cindy hooked on to the exterior of a high-rise lobby and let out a low, loud metallic whine as she regarded the obstacle before her. The buildings parted here, followed the outline of a plaza, and she was incapable of vaulting across the distance. She would have to travel on the ground.

Fine.

Cindy dropped down onto the street level, her boots resounding against the asphalt with a heavy clang, blissfully unaware that she was being followed.

Keeping up was simple enough, as long as he knew which building the creature was on. As long as he did not loose sight. It would have been even easier if he allowed himself to use his abilities, but he had promised to attempt to keep up his human disguise. And normal humans could not fly. Unfortunate, and useful, depending on which way it was looked at.

As Cindy dropped to the ground, Shockwave skidded to a halt, almost tripping over his own feet. How kind of the creature, to come down to the ground like that and make it simple to keep and eye on where it was headed. Of course there was one other way to keep an eye on it.

Another option...

"Greetings!" he called out.

She reacted to the sound as quickly as most creatures managed to process having heard something. Her head snapped around, the cracked window of her helmet locking on the shape of Shockwave behind her. Her head was fixed, even as her body turned to match it. The difficulty the plaza posed was quickly forgotten.

Cindy's hands clenched at her sides and unclenched again. Her plasmid arm was ready, the hand smoldering already as she regarded him. Was he a splicer? Why was he calling to her? Was this a trap? Splicers tried, every so often, to take down Big Sisters, but this place was empty.

Cindy let out a sharp warning screech. The tone warbled slightly with her frustration. She was hungry and if he wasn't a splicer, she didn't want to waste the time to kill him.

"You are quite fascinating you know." Screech or not, threatening pose or not, Shockwave did not seem worried. Soundwave would kill him for this later. But he'd deal with that when the time came.

Slowly he held up his hands in a submissive way, trying to look as harmless as he could. He wasn't armed, so he did hope it would not be difficult to appear so.

"That is not at all a common outfit." Not by any standards he'd seen. Not from any worlds or universes. Perhaps if he could just get the creature talking - if it could - then perhaps he could get some answers to his questions in a calm civil manner.

"Are you looking for something? Perhaps I could assist."

Cindy shifted her head to the side and then back, her torso following in an odd parody of a snake. He was standing firm with his hands out, talking calmly. Of all the interactions she'd ever dealt with, this one was relatively unique. In fact, as she remained in place and just thought on it for well over a minute, she could only think of one other clean person who'd ever calmly addressed her ( ... )
