I'd know those sideburns anywhere. How's it going, Logan?
Reply
He bristles, hands already curling into loose fists at his sides, and eyes the other man. A mask. Something to hide.
"'M I supposed to recognize you?"
Reply
...Well apparently not.
Look, my name's Wade. You don't know me, but we've got a lot in common, trust me. Weapon X ring a bell or are you in the middle of another amnesia bout?
Reply
Neither name is familiar, but then, that doesn't mean a thing, with him.
"The hell is Weapon X?"

It was a little frustrating for Wade, seemingly being the only person from his world who had seen everything important. It made it all seem pointless. Granted, he always thought it was pointless, but still...
He had no qualms with telling Logan everything, but he needed to make sure he was dealing with the right Logan. For all he knew, this Logan could have been before Weapon X. Before everything went to hell.
...What's the last thing you remember? Like your earliest memory? And no, I'm not just being creepy. I probably know more about you than you do, I just want to know what parts I can skip over. It's kind of a long story.

Sorry, Wade, Logan isn't in the mood to start sharing his life story just yet. He takes a step forward, his posture tense and menacing, demanding cooperation.
"How the fuck do you know my name?"

Watch your #*$%ing language, Wolvy.
Wade should have known this wouldn't be easy. Very well then, he decided he would cut to the chase.
You know that healing factor you got?
He drew his knife across the palm of his hand, cutting through the glove and holding his hand forward and the blood poured out. He put his knife away again and the cut began to seal up rapidly.
Yeah, I got it too. From you. Well, not directly from you. From the guys who gave you that metal skeleton. That's Weapon X. Canadians, if you can believe that.
You and I are friends. Or at least closest things guys like us can get to friends.
Frenemies?
Anyway, got your interest now?

Logan's eyes narrowed, and he stepped forward, his eyes locked on Wade's hand. Yeah, he'd seen someone else with that ability before. At Alkali Lake.
"Stryker?" he asked, his eyes flashing up to Wade's face, not bothering to try to hide his interest. "He did this to you?" His brow creased, and he stared. The adamantium was one thing, but he'd had no idea Stryker was up to more. "He could do that?"

Stryker? The mutant-hating preacher guy? What's he got to do with Weapon X?
He wasn't sure if Logan was just misinformed or if he was from a completely different universe. Either way, full disclosure seemed like the best idea.
Anyway, I don't really know who was in charge at the time, though I doubt it was that guy. I didn't get to see much of the behind the scenes stuff. They gave me the healing factor to help with my cancer, then they threw me in a place for failed experiments. And tortured me. Good times.
Weapon X was a program developed for weaponizing mutants. You were a part of some Canadian black ops team and they decided to use you guys for their experiments. They also screwed with your memories a lot. Obviously you got away but they still learned a lot from you.

Most of what Deadpool was saying sounded like nonsense, but he seemed to know just enough of the actual details that Logan couldn't quite dismiss what he was saying.
"I don't know about any Weapon X, but trust me, Stryker was the one behind this," he said, and raised his hand, shooting his claws out straight up in the air for Wade to see. He looked the other man up and down. "Failed experiment, huh?"
His lips quirked up in a bitter smile.
"That's exactly what he called me."

Yeah, that's why you and me get along so good. We both got kicked to the curb. Though I gotta say, you got the better end of the deal.
Wade decided it might help Logan understand and believe him if he saw his face, so he removed his mask.

Logan stepped forward, staring. He'd been right about the mask hiding something, all right. Apparently his healing factor could only help so much.
There were plenty of questions he could ask - about what had happened, about the details of this Weapon X thing - but there was really only one that really mattered.
"How'd you get out?"
Reply
Just Wade, Logan, but I can understand the confusion.
He smiled wryly and put his mask back on.
Same way you did. I escaped and killed a whole lot of people in the process.
He was quiet for a minute. He didn't like to go down this road.
I... didn't originally plan on escaping. I was planning on dying. Healing factor had other plans, though.

Don't get too worked up about it. You spend too much time trying to pick up the things you lost and you just end up losing more.
Anyway, enough about the past. How about your present? Which... I guess would probably be my past, but whatever. So have you met up with Chuck yet? Joined up with the spandeX-Men?

He raises an eyebrow, curious, but the idea of people being from different spots in the timeline doesn't faze him, at least.
"Guess you could say that."
It hadn't been official, not quite, but he'd all but agreed, all but called himself an X-Man even if he still wasn't sure about the whole approach sometimes.
"...And it's leather. Not spandex."
