a good run of bad luck
Went to the doctor's today. It started off pretty well, as I had my paycheck, so I could go to the bank first. This was a good thing, because yesterday, the tv quit working, and after walking down to work to get my bike, I get home ad mom hollers at me to come in quick, the dvd player was smoking and sputtering. We think the storm that night had fragged them both.
So, we're stopped for gas in Altoona, and the car doesn't start. As we were just down the street from the clinic, we walked up for my appointment. The verdict from Doc Hepplewhite is that I'm off until the 6th of June, and I see him next Friday to get the stitches out, the ones that aren't chromic gut, which the nurse practioner put into my fingernail bed, and don't have to come out.
Afterwards, when we got back to the car, mom gave it a try, and it started! Our conclusion was that it didn't like the rain we had yesterday, so something under the hood is getting damp. Saved us a tow home.
The rest of the day went off better, got a new tv and dvd player, did the rest of our shopping, and came home. When I got the new electronics set up, I took a nap. Yay for naps!
