This is the worst thing ever. So many people have died and are going to die. This morning they are saying that the entire city could be submerged within hours. There are 20,000 people in the Superdome with no A/C and limited food or water. No power, no phones, the water all around the trapped people is undrinkable...it goes on and on

No offense, but I think peoples lives are much more important than the animals. I have two dogs I love dearly and I am a total dork over, but given the choice between them and a human life... I sure don't like the idea of lots of dead and injured animals, but the real help is needed for the human beings without food, water, shelter, etc.
