I knew about the popemobile, but I don't think I'd ever seen it in a photo until today.
Doesn't it make for the most absurd visual ever? Why isn't everyone laughing at the pope? Why does anyone take this guy seriously?
Maybe the key to a cult leader's popularity is the pimped out ride. Tom Cruise might have been our supreme overlord by now if only L. Ron Hubbard had thought of hovering across the countryside in some sort of transparent dirigible called the "Scientolo-jet."
