on-line dating
So, further to the earlier post re: on-line dating - who has tried it? any recommendations for sites (I am in the UK)? is it ever possible to meet friends rather than/as well as potential dates this way, or does any declaration of being interested in being friends automatically translate to either a) I am not actually interested in you b) I am interested in you but just playing hard to get/think you aren't in me and want to bide my time? (I ask because I am actually in more acute need of meeting people generally than a potential boyfriend right now, due to recent move and weird elderly demographic in my new job). Finally, how open are people to relatively low-key dating, or is everyone on these sites desperate for instant sex and/or a committed relationship? General thoughts and anecdotes welcome . . .
