*deep, deep sigh of relief*
Please be good to me this year, summer. No more loneliness, no indecision. Just good things like fireflies and cookouts; grass dew, never-ending cherries and blueberries, salamanders, mud-stains, beloved picnic blankets. Let me see the stars as often as possible, and let me hear the Earth's steady heart beneath my ear; let me transcend above the drone of 8-5 and find that special magic in the twilight crickets' singing.
Let this be a summer of closeness and enjoyment, of gratitude and generousity, simplicity and peace; let me get my feet back under me and learn to dance and run and hike once again. Please let me not wear shackles anymore. Set me free, Moon, unclasp this pain that constricts my throat. Let there again be laughter and song, promises made and promises kept.
Let this be a summer of uninterrupted joy, both for myself and all those around me.
