Went to work for a half day. Came home, ate yum-yums, and went to a very special Christmas Eve service at our church.
A very good friend of ours/ member of our church, who just so happens to be on his road to recovery from leukemia, got up with his wife and daughter, to do the advent wreath. The whole place gave him a standing ovation and I held back tears. Yes, "we share and awesome God."
This is about the point where I started realizing that I'm getting older and it's weird.
The boys who use to live next door stopped off before dinner to drop off goodies and they're growing up...driving and stuff when I remember them running around the street as little boys.
Our retired pastor is still ticking along even though he has Parkinson's. When did we all start growing up? And yes, I know, this is just the beginning.
Christmas:
Dad made breakfast. I got everything I really wanted. Simple stuff, but I appreciate it all very much.
talked with Camille to wish her good tidings and go over Vegas. I AM SO EXCITED!!!
Mom made a yummy pork roast with amazing potatoes.
Julie, her mom and I drove around for a bit to look at lights and then Julie and I traveled to Griffith park to look at their lights. It's not worth the 2+ hour wait by the way.
Today:
I went to work
Jammed out to my new tunes, thanks to the unexpected/much needed iTunes gift card;-)
Tried to pick Lucy up after wards but, alas she is not ready and won't be till February. At least I got to talk to the owner; got some real answers as to why it's taking so long. Guess Dell doesn't even carry the motherboard she needs. When the owner gets one in, he'll bill me at cost, which is nice, considering I would fall under their new 2008 pricing structure.
Skipped Yoga and went to Nydia's house, seeing how she leaves in 3 weeks. What am I going to do with myself?.
Her mom's doctor friend is in town from Baltimore so there was mush medical talk. Interesting stuff. Made me wish I had tried harder when I was younger.
On my way home, I though it would be a good idea for someone to do a mash up of Britney Spears' " Give Me More" and Beck's "Timebomb"
