this is a beautiful series- I like this one the most, maybe because of the roof, and the chance to peek at it through the bushes... where are you with these, now? Just today I finished reading Memorial do Convento by Saramago (in English) and these are in keeping with the mood, they remind me of the walk Baltasar and Blimunda took from Mafra to the hill where the flying machine was hidden, and the tales the convent workers told of where they were from... I was so sad to finish that book; it won't leave my head.

I hate it when a good book ends, it's just not like going to the movies. Once you start a book you carry the story with you wherever you go until the very last page, it's like you are living your life and the characters lives at the same time.

I haven't read that book yet, I must. These were not taken in Mafra but they were taken about an hour drive away so the landscape, type of trees and vegetation, is basically the same and you would find in Mafra :) I'm glad that i ended up illustrating the book for you :P

q foto tão bonita. e este conjunto é bem delicioso. talvez aquelas duas estejam demasiado escuras, sim, mas continuam bonitas, quer dizer, achei interessante até, a obscuridão.

this photograph reminds me very much of 'claire's knee'.. a french film. it's odd because another person whose photographs i look at regularly (on livejournal) also reminded me of this film. anyway... the colors seem rich but not at the same time. very lovely.
