I feel like I've actually accomplished some things lately, enough to relax a bit and really grin at my self :) It might seem like little stuff, but it's still checked-off the list now. :)
finished reading the 7th & final Harry Potter book
finalized & finished & sent the graphic art work files for Marc Gunn's most recent music album, "A Tribute to Love" - a new CD of original music, which everyone can go enjoy finding out more about at either http://www.marcgunn.com -or- http://www.celticmusic.org
I have tomorrow off from work (at 'The Inkwell') !!!! :D It'll be Brian's day off, too, so "roomie days" always hint at adventure, at home or abroad
I cleaned the shower - AND got the mineral build-up crude out of the holes in the fancy shower head, so it actually works really well now! :D
I bought the super-nice metal set of measuring spoons from 'Frazzleberries' that i've been saving for - the scoops are heart shaped :D and all on a ring, so they stay together
Brian bought a super-nice new receiver box thing from Radioshack, that Erik had suggested, and now I can listen to my CDs & music again at full stereo level sound {not just the tinny sound of stuff pushed weakly to full volume on my laptop speakers :P} ... we are talking POWER SOUND, muwhahahahhahahhaaaa! I love it, omg. It's AWESOME for movies, too! :D
Brian & I have watched 2 movies recently that I can now say I have watched all of, all the way through, in one sitting, and now actually understand and appreciate :: "Dune" {yeah, that movie Sting was in}, and "The Dark Crystal".
I cleaned the microwave oven out
I was NOT cold last night (the heater next to my bed came on!) :D
I had a REALLY enjoyable weekend with my boyfriend Sean, with the apartment all to ourselves (Brian was up at Lake George for F&I War reenactment stuff... lucky.) Just getting to hang out and snuggle and be ourselves ... just nice :) and totally what I needed after my rough Friday :P
I did a fully rendered, manually drawn, illustration piece - Gambit, of the "X-Men" (Marvel comics), for Sean :: 9x12, graphite, colored pencil, marker, with limited references
I discovered I'm dating a person young enough to have never made a "mixed tape" - a selection of favorite songs compiled, often painstakingly, onto a media format known as an "audio cassette tape"..... one of those cultural milestone items that have now apparently passed into the age of Antiquity, with the advent of compact discs (or CDs, if you will), and the digital datum revolution.
Oh yeah.... I have TWO pairs of glasses now!!!!!!! :D I have been favoring the 'Steve Madden' designer ones that I looove... and which have been referred to as my "naughty Librarian glasses" ;D buwahhahahaaa! *yesss!*
Other things on my mind ::
Brian's 28th birth day is next Thursday!
I still need to send my brother his gift box of birth day stuff (for August :P)
There is soooooooo much stuff that I had wanted to buy at Faire - like, stuff from Bald Mt., the leather store, which is closing after this year :( - and I haven't got the money for... or now the Time. LAST WEEKEND OF NYRenFaire THIS WEEKEND!!!!! WOOT!!!!! I have it off from work, to go to Faire with mah friends, yeah!!!!!
I should get over to Goshen & the DMV, in order to get a New York State Driver's Permit - now that I have new glasses to wear & see with, and can do the visual test
weddings coming up, for still more friends.... some friends having babies soon, even - so much I should be doing & corresponding!
I miss Caitlin. I need to go to Chicago for awhile, and visit with her & my cousin & my family & other friends.
I miss my parents & my house in PA (their house)
I miss my dog :( and my guinea piggies.
I actually miss going to Boomerang's, on Tuesday nights, with my IUP buddies: Brian/Scarp, George/Geo, Geo's gf Mandy, and sometimes other pals. $2 pitches and $1 burgers & fries!!! Last Winter & Spring was really the first time I've ever gone out with friends on a regular basis like that, and (more specifically) to drink alcohol. It's nice to know they are missing me, too (*notes on Facebook :) )
I wish my brother would come up from The Citay visit here :(
I really ought to take advantage of the bus trip from here to the NYC Port Authority, and visit my brother and several other friends who now live in NYC.
I'm really loving the change in the weather - I feel like I've missed-out on a LOT this summer, basically all summer activities :P - but I know how to dress for "beautifully sunny yet chilly" days, I love the crispness in the air, and there are hints of golden tones tucked into the brilliant lush of green that everything still is. There is a smell to the Fall season that I love.... Fall/Autumn is my favorite season of the year :)
I need to finish sewing a bunch of stuff
I wish I had my art supplies; my Primsacolor markers, specifically. I wish I had some canvas, to paint on.
... and stuff.
