This post is like totally irrelevant, but I'm bored so..
Now that I am watching a TW drama again, I noticed how very very weiirdd their language sounds.
It sounds like brabbeling, a sound that toddlers make. I can't make heads or tails out of it.
Not that Japanese or Korean are easy to understand, but after you've seen a couple of their dramas some phrases and words stick with you.
Like these, you hear them in every Korean drama, some more than others:
Annyong haseyo = Goodmorning
Ottoshimnikka? = How are you?
Joahaeyo = I like you
Saranghaeyo = I love you
Kamsahamnida = Thank you
Gomawoyo = I am thankful
Mianhaeyo = I am sorry
Aniyo = No
Ne =Yes
Yoboseyo? = Hello? (On the phone)
And these ofcourse;
Abeoji = Father
Eomeoni = Mother
Appa = Daddy
Eomma = Mommy
Harabeoji = Grand father
Halmeoni = Grand mother
Hyeong = Boy's elder brother/friend
Nuna = Boy's elder sister/friend
Oppa = Girl's elder brother/friend
Eonni = Girl's elder sister/friend
Abeonim = Husband's father
Eomeonim = Husband's mother
Jangin Eoreun = Wife's father
Jandmonim = Wife's mother
Ajumma = Older woman
Ahjussi = Older man
Why Korean people have to adress others by this, instead of using their names (it's not rude, that's what their for!), I will never know.
Sorry if I did it wrong, it seems that every person spells it differently.
But I absolutely love the Korean language. It's soo pretty, and vey lively. *Wants to learn it*
Unlike Taiwanese, I don't like their lanuage at all. Maybe because it sounds like Alien to me, but still.
