Lord loves a workin man
So after an awesome weekend .... wait i suppose i should probably fill in the blanks on my "awesome weekend". There is a segway from one to the other so i might as well set it all up...
Friday night was my last night training. I played host at Sonny's for a few hours. It was a pretty good time. All i did was seat people and bus tables. Plus i got off at like 8:20 so i still had my entire friday night open! It was sooo nice! After i got off i started callin around to see what everyone else was up to. I ended up going over to Jessica's house. I hung out there with her and shari. It was a lot of fun. we should definitly do that again sometime. =-D
Saturday i woke up around 11:30 i wanted to sleep later and i'm not quite sure why i didn't... none the less i was up. Doesn't it piss you off when people eat alllll the cereal in the box and leave just enough at the bottom to give you 1/4 or a half a bowl. that pisses me right off! need less to say, this is what i found in the kitchen saturday morning. Soooo yeah, this was the day i was going to take my server test at Sonny's to see if i was suitable to be on the floor by myself. After studying hardcore throughout the week and sat. morning i went in around 2ish and took the test. I was a little worried since rachel said it was pretty hard.... piece of cake! I scored a 97.6% on it which evidently is a pretty big thing. I got my name up on the "kudos" bored outside of the office and a free employee meal. Niiiice. ....
moving right along. After that i picked up shari and my mom and went to battle of the bands at the Eagles lodge to see Six on Sunday. they did pretty well, a few minor errors but it was good enough to win 2nd place. congratulations guys. my brother nick is such a jerk. not all the time. just most of the time! mom, shari and i showd up like 1 song maybe 2 into their set... the first thing nick says to my mom (and come to find out a little later, shari too!) "thanks for showing up late!" ..... OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BOY! if you want to see me get krunked up hang around when my brother acts like himself... it really takes a lot to piss me off to the point of wanting to deck someone and somehow nick always seems to walks precariously on that line a lot! i had to walk away before i got in his face... so that was def. not cool. and it brought shari down too. i don't understand why the fuck he has to make her feel so God damned miserable. Its like he's not happy unless she is miserable! So he pisses her off and then goes and hangs out with his friends and leaves her to sit and think that she is a bad person. WHAT THA FUCK!!! anyway.... sorry for the tangent. later on that night vann, jessica, shari, myself, and the lovely Dianna, went out to city walk. We saw shark tale and walked around for a bit. Shark Tale was pretty fun. I enjoyed it for the most part, except for the ignorant fools who sat behind us and kept talking/mocking the characters throughout the entire movie. If i wanted to hear every comment someone had about the movie, i would wait until Mystery Science Theater 3000 played it. at least those people (and robots) are funny! so besides that i enjoyed it. I, personally had my heart set on I Heart Huckabees but i was voted against 4 to 1. whatev.
sunday came, slept till 12:40 ish, watched the last 3/4 of the newer version of The Shining. It wasn't really very scary... i imagine the older version is scarier due to the fact that jack nicholson kinda creeps me out. after that mom, shit face and i piled into the crapmaro (my camaro for those of you who didn't piece the two together) ;-) to go get some food. After putting in new spark plugs, wires, and a new cap & rotor on friday, you'd think my car might actually run for more than 24 hours right? BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO it wouldn't start.... rather than throwing a fit (i've gotten pretty good at throwing fits about the damn camaro) i figured it hadn't worked before, why waste more energy and stress out about something that obviously NO MECHANIC ON THE PLANET EARTH CAN FIX!! So i calmly got into the jeep (which also needs something done to it. probably spark plugs and wires too!) went and picked up vann then went to IHOP and ate some chocolate chip pancakes... muey bueno! dropped vann and my mom off at their respective homes and continued on to my dad's house. Hung out there ate dinner caught up on things. it was nice.
SOOOOO TODAY!! My first day on the floor by myself at Sonny's. It was excellent. i'm quite pleased with myself. I didn't get too stressed, granted we weren't too busy today but i did work a double. So i worked from 11 to about 4:40 and then 5:15 to about 10:20. My knees are killing my and so is my back! But i made about $93 in tips for the whole day. So i feel good. you have no idea how wonderful it felt to be able to put money into the bank tonight. no idea!
so thats pretty much all i've been up to this past weekend. I havent posted something this long in quite some time. it felt good. I love this live journal thing. its therap
