well, in general, I'd say, that unless birds cause a problem with other ecosystems, let em fly. there are two major exceptions to my mind, however.
1) Chickens. These are nasty, pecking little bitches of birds. i'm TOTALLY glad they become Colonel Sanders meat. better in a bucket than scurrying on the ground causing havoc.
2) Air Rats (aka pigeons) What the hell do these birds eat, anyway? They get FAR too close to me when I'm eating french fries at the rallys burger shop sitting at the outdoor picnic tables. Their beady little eyes look like something out of Children of the Corn. They don't even have enough meat on them to make them worth eating, and they seem to multiply in googleplexes. That's one of my rules. Nothing that multiplies in numbers larger than my IQ at one time deserves to live.
most other birds are ok.
The jury is still out on African ringnecks and macaws, by the way.
