I finally got my healthcare card in the mail and I have been debating whether to go to a doctor. I've been having knee pain, I have crappy sinus/allergies, and for a while now I've suspected I have adhd. I have ADHD! I originally was taking Celexa... it helps some, but I still couldn't focus for $hit!!

I made an appointment with my DR, and Explained to him that I believe Straterra would help me. (I always had a problem with paying attention and hypertensiveness)

I started taking it last Friday, I am starting to notice that I can actually sit and read without being so easily distracted... but it takes 2-3 weeks for the medicine to kick in...

If I can make a sugestion, TAKE THE QUIZ AGAIN and print it out, then go to Straterra's website and take the quiz on that site, and print it out. Take BOTH of these with you to your DR :>

as far as testing goes, the symptoms speak for themselves.

Oh, My Dr gave me a starter kit of the straterra too, there are like 3 different doses, 18mg for 4 days, 25mg for 2 weeks, then up to 40,

the target dose is 80mg (that is 2 of the blue pills)

Oh okay. So if I show him those, that'll pretty much be it? Does the medicine make you drowsy?

no, not really.. I dont notice any drowsiness..
I take it when I get up, with the Celexa

You're taking both? Why do you have to take so much medicine? What do they do?

Sorry 'bout all the questions. Just trying to figure out what I'm (possibly) in for.

well, I had been taking the Celexa for the Anxiety, (Anxiety and not being able to focus were my main issues) I will go off the celexa if the straterra helps me, but my DR says the two meds compliment each other so there is no conflict.

dont worry about asking questions, I don't mind. :)

My mother takes something for anxiety. It's not Celexa though. Forgot what it's called.

I have Klonopin too if I get Really stressed, but that is on an "As needed" basis, like xanax..

I havent had to take the klonopin as much scince I started on the Straterra.
