I finally got my healthcare card in the mail and I have been debating whether to go to a doctor. I've been having knee pain, I have crappy sinus/allergies, and for a while now I've suspected I have adhd. I took an assessment test on WebMD and my score was a 49. 25 and over was severe symptoms of ADHD. So I finally decided to do it. But I have no idea how to go about asking a doctor if I have ADHD. Do I just go, "Hey doc, could ya test for me for adhd? Cause I tell you, I can't focus on anything for shit."
No. I don't think so. I mean, do they test you? How can they tell if you have it or not? And if I don't have it, then what the hell is my problem?? Yeah I've always been like this, but lately it's been so much worse than usual.
Anyway, so I tried to call the doctor's office I have chosen to visit, but they closed at 5 and their answering machine has a long ass message that I don't feel like sitting through. I know because I hung up right as it was FINALLY beeping. I'm a little scared though. What if they say I have something else to? And what if they want to give me shots in my knees? Or shots period. I HATE shots. I feel faint just thinking about them. And they're the only thing in the world that can make me do that. Well that and heights. ::shudder::
