Hooray Sci Fi Friday
So today my goal is to do laundry. Lots and lots of laundry. I've done two loads and put away two more, so I'm working on it. Slowly. Man, there's a lot of laundry.
I watched about half of the Serenity DVD Jen got me this morning before I remembered that Sci-Fi was doing a marathon of the aired Firefly eps, and I could watch that instead of wishing the movie had been more like the show. I was told they were showing them in original airing order. They just showed "Out of Gas" and now they're onto "Ariel," which I guess means they're doing DVD order, because I distinctly recall "Shindig" being between those, and I was hoping to get to see it again. Pout. I suppose I could just watch the DVDs. I did squee at the Kaylee/Inara kiss, though, and that was fun. There really needs to be some good long K/I, but there hasn't ever been anything really plotty, at least not that I've found. I [heart] that pairing. I know, I know, if I want fic I should write it...
Woohoo, new BSG tonight. I've decided not to tape it, as they DVD these things fairly quickly, it seems, and I don't really rewatch enough to justify taping, and I was planning on buying the DVD anyway.
Last night we watched the DVD extras on the DVD of Maurice that I bought Jen. It was really funny how Hugh Grant completely missed the point. All the other actors were like "Yeah, so, this is a really wonderful movie because it was one of the first, if not the very first, gay movies with a happy ending," and Hugh Grant is all "Oh, it's about how horrible it was to be gay in that time period. By the way, I'm straight! I'm straight!" Le sigh.
I think now I will try to fold an origami parasauralophus. Excuse me.
