We now have a very large amount of homemade chocolate cheesecake with homemade whipped cream and strawberries. Is yummy, if slightly bitter -- I am not a fan of dark chocolate. Also, it seems that Jen believes that the proper density of cheesecake is not light and fluffy like store-bought cheesecake, but rather heavy -- it feels like I've eaten a bowling ball or something. Oof. There is so much cheesecake. Perhaps
m_shell will come help us eat it.
Also, I finally got to see the Horsemen arc of Highlander. (Not cut-tagging, because, dude, these are old eps that everyone but me has seen.) Hooray. I was waiting to read D/M fanfic until I'd seen them, because that seems to be what most of those stories assume as background. The way they were nodding firmly at each other after "We're through" was, um, so cute. And the double Quickening was, um, something. I think it's much better with sound than in vids, and I second
kerqui in saying that it looks a lot better and clearer on a TV broadcast. And that was some fun dysfunctional Methos/Kronos, all right -- and Kronos was so jealous of Duncan, hee. He was all, "Meeeeeethos, what's Duncan got that I haven't got, huh huh?"
Jen was telling me how it is a widely held belief that poor poor Methos was just going along with Kronos and really didn't like to rape and pillage, oh no. I scratch my head in confusion. He sure seemed okay with it to me. Even in the modern-day stuff. Except for the part where Kronos wanted him to kill Duncan, of course.
And I liked Silas. Okay, so he may really like murdering thousands of people with his trusty ax, but he really liked monkeys. Awww. He wanted one of Kronos's monkeys! So cute! Can I have my very own psychotic Immortal? I was all sniffly and nearly started crying at the end where Methos killed Silas and was sad. I liked Silas too! He liked monkeys! Sob.
So, um, what HL slash do I get to read now? I've pretty much never read anything except Torch's China, and that I do need to reread...
