Black Panther World of Wakanda #5: Aww, yeah. Ayo and Aneka run away together and make out IN A CAVE. Here are all my favorite tropes, I will take twelve, please. I wish this were longer than five issues.
Captain America Sam Wilson #20: Rage was wrongly convicted and Sam is sad and there are riots and now Rage gets to be in prison with a bunch of supervillains who try to kill him. Sam gives a speech about how violence isn't the answer for people who aren't superheroes. Anyway, Rage gets beaten up in prison and is in a coma. Great. Nick Spencer, why are you doing this? What do you think you are contributing to this discussion? This isn't even well-written.
US Avengers #4: Red Hulk and Deadpool go punch that kaiju from New Avengers and it's a much noisier mission than it was supposed to be so Director Rogers comes to see what's up. Man, I really wish Steve weren't evil. He looks so nice in the art.
Uncanny Avengers #21: Deadpool helpfully has brought Magneto's helmet to Rogue, so she shakes free of the mind control and takes Red Skull out. (Johnny was still trying to kill Peter. Sniffsniff. But they fistbump at the end and it is sweeeeeet.) Anyway, in parts that aren't Spideytorch, Cable's been mindwiped or something and there is a very emotional showdown in front of the founding Avengers statue and why is this the book that gives me the most team feels? Anyway, Rogue's gone to Beast to get him to take Xavier's brain out of Skull's head. I cannot believe I had to type that sentence.
