So not as good as last week.
I mean, okay, it did have Ben Browder, and the line about people who weren't Americans putting down their guns was funny, but even setting aside the bit where I find Westerns inherently boring as a genre, it didn't work for me.
I pretty much yelled WAR CRIMINAL as soon as that doctor showed up. The Doctor himself was really out of character -- seriously, it took Amy reminding him that he wasn't the sort of guy who shoved people in front of armed assassins and let them be executed?
And what was the message of the episode supposed to be? HEY, KIDS, SUICIDE IS THE ANSWER. Yeah, great. Not really.
The plot was just kind of... stupid. And full of holes. How was everyone else supposed to know that the Gunslinger was identifying the dude by his face tattoo thing?
(But the Doctor speaks horse. Of course he does. Susan. Heh.)
Next week looks a little better, thankfully.
