perhaps we all give the best of our hearts uncritically-to those who hardly think about us in return

there are times when rain ruins everything- plans, hair, days off.. and then there are times like tonight- when it's just what you needed.

the day itself wasn't particularly enjoyable, it consisted of doing absolutely nothing at work, then rushing to find shoes for Tia's sweet sixteen and a one-piece bathing suit (since I have now officially taken up swimming), the first being pretty unsuccessful since I can't wear heels thanks to my completely fucked-up ankle, and the second we found but damn speedo's really aren't cheap. anyway, I then had to speed over to the bridgeclub for physical therapy (and was still late) and by the time i got home it was 7:30 and not at all worth it to go to the rec when danielle and alese had been there since 6:30. so instead i did some sat work and cleaned my room a bit (a very small bit, but cleaning is cleaning) and then went to danielle's for some chinese food and a horrible movie called the house of 1000 corpses.. which we didn't finish. and then came the really fun part when we threw on shorts and big t-shirts and began our rainy walk-a-thon to ralph's, which turned out to be closed. on the way we were splashing in puddles and enjoying the wetness and we saw this woman outside one of the bars smoking a cigarette and she looked at us as we walked by and was like "you girls.. look so cute crossing the street just now" in that long-nails-gum-chewing-cigarette-smoking-longgisland accent and we laughed and it was fun and i felt like a little girl again. and thennn we saw brian, jared, and greg there so we walked with them to uncle louie g's where we got ices (chocolate jelly roll.. yummmm) and when we got back it started POURING.. so we went to west school and danielle and i went down the slides and danced in the rain and it was so much fun.

I think if I had a summer house in the west end i would love it.. i would love coming here and spending time here and all that. it's so cute and neighbor-y and every night is a constant party and everyone knows everyone and it's something I would enjoy for a two-month stay, just not as a permanent residence.

my hair is dripping and my bra is wet, so it's time for me to go and dry of some more.
