Well...

I think Ashley got her first taste of death. Her roommate from college commit suicide the other night. She is real upset about it. I keep telling her that there is nothing she could have done but she still feels awful. The other girls seemed to have gave Letha (the girl who hung herself) a real hard time. I guess after the year ended, Letha had deleted everyone off of facebook. And then you know how everything goes, words spread and it got back to Ashley. RIP Letha. She was a very sweet and shy girl. Rather socially awkward unlike her roommates. But She was really way too young to go. But God has plans for all of us.
And I'm getting my taste of death. One of my clients is on her way out. It's really strange because I saw her a week ago and she was in great health and walking. Her daughter came up from Arizona to see her and had left Sunday. When Monday hit, my client was bed bound. This isn't the first time I've seen it happen but it's the first time it's affecting me. I spent the last two months with this lady, getting to know her and her family. It's rough. But she lived a wonderful life and has the most optimistic attitude with all the hardships she has dealt with. I just think it's crazy how people and can hold out on death until certain events happen. Like this case, seeing her daughter one last time. I found a quote that I'm going to live by from here on out, which pertains to this situation. "One day your life with flash before your eyes. Make sure it's worth watching." Nothing is permanent. I think we all have to realize that and make the best out of every situation handed to us. Because life is a challenge dealing with relationships, higher educations, social interactions, and personal conflicts. The path you go down is the path you choose and the way you handle these challenges.
