Well it's been a couple of weeks. I've been bloody depressed since. I really loved the atmosphere and stuff. I seem to be surrounded by absolute miserable twats now. :(
Anyway finally got the pics from Jenn. Most of them are stage shopts and stuff but we do have one of the pair of us that someone took for us. I look awful but I've grown to like the hair. Thats staying!
On the saturday afternoon we went and made a flag using the paints from the National Autustic Society and a blank flag we bought. They were doing a paint a blank T-Shirt for a £5 thing. It was a very surreal but pleasant experience. My mam had texted to say she had'nt seen me yet and I was so surprised she was watching that we decided to make it. It says "Hi Mam Violet and Dad love Jenn N Scott" in a variety of colours.
We saw loads of acts, one particularly memorable one was a reggea band playing Pink Floyd one morning that I heard from the unspeakable toilets and just had to go see.
One of my favourites was Suzanne Vega who I've been a fan of for years. Was a really nice intimate set on the acoustic stage which was a hell of a hike up the hill to get to.
Goldfrapp were superb as well. Was right at the front for that one. You can see our banner on some of the vids on youtube. I thought they were great, I was surprised by how like the album tracks they sounded given some of the effects they use. I also fell completely in love with their dancers, expecially the blonde one, probably like all the other blokes in the audience. I loved the guardians description of them later "purveyors of electro-purve"
Massive Attack I just danced all the way through. Can't dance for shit and amused everyone behind me with my patented 'drunken ape' moves but did'nt care. Brilliant set, totally.
James Blunt was fun. Never actually been a fan of his but really suprised me. Everyone seemed well into it and it felt good. Was totally convinced (and still am) that we were behind the guy who played Gandalf and his whole family.
Won't go into all the rest but suffice it to we saw KT Tunstall, Fratellis, Gossip, Kate Nash and a whole host of others that were cool too. We inexplicably managed to miss Jay Z. Can't imagine why!
I will leave you with this one awesome shot taken during the Neil Diamond set which we did'nt watch but wandered past during Sweet Caroline which even I knew.
