Yes, I'm back to updating.

As you can tell, I'm not a writer. I'm most expressive through voice.

Here comes the onslaught of bullet points to bring everyone up to speed:

• Still working at the Starbucks Company Store. I've made tremendous progress since joining the team, since having brought in customers from my old stomping grounds and establishing a rapport with this store's regulars. When the Shift Supervisor Alex, my boss Harvey, my fellow co-worker Mike, and I are all taking care of things in the morning, I'm considered as one of the "A-Team" by our customer base. I guess it's a good thing that Harvey have been scheduling me primarily a morning person, as that's when a huge swath of the business and sociability takes place. I still visit the old place now and then, usually when picking up prescriptions or grabbing supplies for home.

• And on the same note about work, I'm in the running for both a Shift Supervisor position and resident Coffee Master. I'm already a certified Learning Coach under the current training program, too. All I have left is the background check to go through and completing my Mastery.

• All's well and then some with Jess. Still in the honeymoon phase of our relationship after more than 1-1/2 years. We took a fantastic trip to Savannah back near the beginning of March, taking in the sights, feasting on the good grub, and drooling at the world-famous pralines. Recently (well, a couple weekends ago) we got burned to a crisp by the hot sun while walking to and from the pool in my neighborhood, and only now has the damaged skin peeled away. Jess had it worse than me, suffering through some shoulder blisters.

• I'm am hooked on House. Finally working through Season 2.

• Too many games I'm interested have come or are coming out, and I'm in such a backlog right now it's getting ridiculous. All the big games for the Wii and DS that I currently own have taken a backseat. Shoot, even the critically acclaimed Smash Bros. Brawl is collecting dust as I cram through Final Fantasy I-VI (in their most recent Nintendo-based versions). Once those are done, I'll concentrate on everything else.

• HD and surround systems spoil me rotten, especially with those DVDs that say "Enhanced for 16x9 televisions". The family upgraded to HD as the big family gift this past Christmas.

Oh, and lastly I present to you a blessing from the Internets:

The Running Jumping & Standing Still Film by Richard Lester, a short film with Peter Sellers and the Goons before directing the Beatles film "A Hard Day's Night". Kudos to the fellow who finally uploaded this short (though in two parts) to YouTube:
