Big Brother 3, day 9

May 25, 2010 11:52

Kelly was among the first up on Day 9, and thrilled to get going. She couldn't wait to see what BB had planned for them.

Some other HMs were also happy to be up, but unlike Kelly, they would rather stay inside.

Ash helped out by cleaning up last night's mess, occasionally throwing dirty glares at the HMs who slacked off and went to bed, instead of finishing their chores.

Violet was feeling overwhelmed by the pressure of evictions. She had no idea if she was safe or not, and couldn't let it go. Linda looked on, unsure as to whether she should - or could - comfort her or not.

While the other Housemates started getting ready, heading for the bathrooms or kitchen, Asparagus and Aeryn stayed behind in the bedroom. It appeared that they had gotten through their doubts about their engagement.

They weren't the only couple who wanted to get in some alone time before the task. Linda couldn't believe how much she enjoyed Dale's company, and it wasn't just for the sex.

Seraphine was on breakfast duty, much to their dismay. Her talents in the kitchen did not include cooking, so she was only able to serve up toaster pastries.

Like Violette, Grant was letting the pressure of the looming eviction get to him.

That, and no one wanted to talk about grilled cheese sandwiches with him.

It seemed that many of the HMs were emotional this morning, but Aeryn knew just how to cheer Asparagus up.

Kelly, though, was oblivious to what anyone else was feeling.

Try as he might, no one was interested in discussing his favourite subject, sending him into depression.

Nutmeg and Connelly removed themselves from the situation, joining the ranks of those who started the day with a bang.

Try as she might, Violette just could not get it together.

Until Tom suggested they visit the photo booth together, that is.

While Dale snacked on spoilt toaster pastries, the rest of the HMs were gathering in the yard for that days task.

It was to be a dance off! Seraphine was selected randomly to be the DJ while the others had to shake it like a polaroid picture.

Some danced together...

some danced in time (or tried to)...

and others danced alone.

Dale was surprised at how close Connelly was dancing, but found he didn't mind too much.

Eventually, they started losing interest in the dancing and found other things to do.

While Asparagus whipped up some bass with squash,

Grant finally found someone who enjoyed talking about grilled cheese as much as him, and he realised he should have tried his fiancé first.

Nutmeg was feeling more than at home in the house by now, and felt no shame sitting down naked at dinner.

In the lull between dinner and eviction, Kelly tried to tempt Ash into a threesome with Connelly,

but neither of the men were into it.

Ash didn't mind talking about bringing Dale into it, though.

Nutmeg eventually got her clothes on, by popular request, but found she was too tired to finish her dinner.

And then it was time for the eviction - who would be going home?

Everyone was dressed in their best, just in case it was them.

And the next person to be evicted was...

Grant!

Who promptly burst into tears at the thought of leaving Seraphine.

Grant: But *sob* you're the only one who *sob* understands me!

The reactions from the HMs was mixed, but they were all glad they were staying.

After a loving goodbye, it was time for Grant to go.

Seraphine led the charge after him, not ready for it to happen.

Everyone gathered around to say their goodbyes, as Grant slowly made his way to the gate, and to the outside world.

He could only hope that his love would be with him soon.

Once the gate closed, however, it seemed that Grant was "out of sight, out of mind" with Seraphine.

- They're back! Yay! Sorry for taking so long with this one. Day 10 should be along shortly.
- Nutmeg and Violette's dresses sure don't like the lounge, do they?
- They were a randy bunch today. I guess they were making up for the fact it's been a while since I've played them!
- I had started doing dance contests with them, but it took forever, so I ditched that.
- Poor Grant! I was starting to wonder if anyone wanted to talk to him about grilled cheese. He was so in the red, and it's all he really wanted to do. I should have tried Seraphine first, I guess!
