Big Brother 3 - Day 2
Puss was the first one up on day two, and she couldn't resist starting the day by checking out how fine she was.
Seraphine was up next, leaving a stink trail so rank it was surprising no one had died from it.
Tom wasn't a fan of the early start, and complained when the noise of everyone else getting up woke him. You better get used to it, Tom.
Aeryn: Whoa, holy pits of stink, Batman.
Royal got to work on keeping the bedroom tidy as soon as the beds were emptied, though that may just have been a ruse to check out the HMs.
And he wasn't the only one.
Team Pink was on cooking duty, so Kelly decided to whip up some chocolate banana pancakes to get the day started.
Nutmeg was the first to venture down to the beach, though she wasn't able to get her sandcastle finished before breakfast.
Unfortunately, Kelly wasn't used to cooking for so many people, and her pancakes only fed the ladies.
So Grady pulled out the leftovers from dinner, and the boys dined in style - though the girls thought they had the better breakfast food.
And somehow, Grant had stayed asleep on the floor, even with everyone getting showered, dressed and ready for breakfast, including walking right over him. It didn't seem to occur to any of them to wake him up.
Asparagus and Ash were feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the noise, so they opted to eat at the bar and get to know each other better.
Big Brother sent them outside for another day of getting to know each other. Team Orange were going to get their hands dirty tending the garden today.
While Team Blue cleaned the kitchen and bathrooms, everyone else paired up to learn more about each other.
Though not everyone enjoyed this task. Asparagus found he just did not have much in common with some of the HMs, and was heard to say several things to them that we can't air in this time slot.
Dale also had some trouble connecting with Grant, but perhaps he and Dale were just feeling threatened by their supreme self confidence.
It made for an interesting theory in the production room, anyway.
Linda: Oh dear god no! How can you even suggest that what Celine Dion does could be classed as music? That's not music, it's pure torture.
Linda: *flounce*
After a while, the conversations died down as the HMs explored some of the fun the House had to offer.
Inside, Team Blue were surprised and disgusted at just how filthy the house could be on the second day.
Team Orange finally finished in the garden, and all took to discussing Seraphine Nadia and just what she might or might not be wearing under that dress.
Seraphine Nadia: Oh, I bet that Ash could have me singing like a bird, if you know what I mean *wink*
Wisteria: ...you do realise he's my son, right?
Ash: Awesome! Knowledge stored!
Pussy Galore: So, marrying for money, is it all that it's cracked up to be?
Linda: *stony silence*
Nutmeg decided that she'd had enough of socialising,
and that what she needed was a dip in the hot tub.
With Connelly.
Nutmeg: I really enjoyed the making out we had yesterday. Would you like to have the sex today?
Connelly: Oh, yeah, I think I'd like to have some of the sex.
Nutmeg: Just so you know, I'm not always this easy.
Connelly: I am.
Nutmeg: Awesome! Good to know.
Surprisingly, no one paid any attention to them.
Or so they thought.
Grant: Hey guys, guess what? They're totally doing it over there. Nutmeg and that Connelly.
Violette and Ash: Uh, yeah, I'll go look. Just to, uh, see. Yeah. Yeah.
Inhibitions have been thrown right out the door this year, it seems!
Back in the yard, Asparagus and Dale were arguing with everyone possible...but not yet with each other.
Aeryn hit the beach, and had thought that Puss was coming to help, but it turned out she was just admiring the view.
Connelly and Nutmeg: We are so doing THAT again.
Wisteria heard there was a cockatoo out, but she couldn't find it anywhere. Meanwhile, Royal showed that he was handy at catching bugs.
While Grady struggled with his jump rope,
everyone else was more interested in what was going on in the spa.
Connelly: I hope she enjoyed it...maybe I need to read a few more books about it...just to be sure
Linda had had quite enough of the shenanigans in the yard, as titillating as they were.
And tried to relax in the way she knew best.
One thing was different from her habits at home - at least now she didn't have to drink alone.
Aeryn: I'm not sure we made the castle phallic enough.
Puss: I really don't think they're going to care, not when they can see the real thing just over there.
What Puss was referring to, of course, was about to happen behind Ash and Violette.
But they soon lost interest, after all, they'd seen it all already.
So the other HMs went took to hanging out and enjoying the sunshine.
After Linda had sunk enough vodka, she decided she was hungry and might try her hand at that cooking business she'd heard so much about.
Nutmeg was a firm believer in "all's fair in love and war", and that included playing catch.
Connelly couldn't stay too mad at her though...she had just made him see fireworks!
Much to Linda's surprise, her first attempt at cooking was a success!
Puss wasn't one to be bothered by the normal social boundaries.
Linda took things one step further and actually served the food herself. Her children would be likely to faint if they saw her now!
Seraphine and Grant were late to dinner, but no one minded much.
Perhaps there was some hidden tension in the house, because Linda "forgot" to serve Aeryn, despite serving up for Grant and Seraphine, who were busy outside.
After dinner, Team Blue cleaned up while the others headed to the lounge - it was their first Nominations night!
They all went one by one into the Diary Room to cast their vote, with Ash the first cab off the rank.
It wasn't long before the Nominations were tallied and the first three up for eviction were announced!
With 8 points - Royal!
And tying with 6 points each -
Wisteria
and Grady!
The HMs were feeling worn out after the emotional voting, and quickly headed for the bedroom. Though some of the HMs weren't quite ready for bed.
Royal discovered the treat from Big Brother - they'd been supplied with two chess tables for the bedroom! Just in case they couldn't sleep.
He tried to play, but he couldn't get his mind off being nominated. He tried to make friends with everyone...could they all really hate him that much?
Soon enough, the others made their way to bed, with more of them feeling comfortable enough to share beds this time.
Not everyone, certainly, but of those that did, BB could see quite a bit of cuddling going on.

When everyone came into the house, they had a 0/0 relationship with everyone (apart from Ash and Wisteria, but they're barely friends), so for these tasks it was all about giving them a chance to get to know each other, and to make sure that they had some kind of relationship points for everyone else - good or bad, it didn't matter! The voting is based on how it was done here, where two points go to your first pick, one point to the second. The person they like the least gets the two, and the second least liked gets one point. It was really hard to make sure everyone had spoken to everyone when some of them would slip off to shag in the spa!
So if you're not sure how the voting works - you pick the person you want to evict. The Housemate with the most amount of votes by the close of voting is the one to get shafted, and sent to the family bin. I'm including the points again, because it was something people requested last year. It gives you an idea of how the HMs feel about each other, too!
On a side note, I'm incredibly amused that the font I've used on their headshots is "Hobo std". Nice!
