How can we help you? Or how can you help us?

I've noticed lately that this community hasn't seen all that much activity. It's kind of a shame, considering that this is a great community and I think a lot of Sims writers could use a little help in getting their stuff to sound better. I've got a few ideas of my own to share, but if you have any other ideas you'd like to share, please don't hesitate to say so!

- Don't forget that the community encourages promotion where relevant! If you see anyone who puts a note on their posts that sounds like "constructive criticism please" or "please comment", it probably means they want some opinions, which is what SWC is all about. This isn't just on LJ, either: no matter where you see those questions come up, direct them to this community. If the person is really serious about getting help with their writing, they'll join LJ if they haven't already, just for that, right?

- If anyone is confused about what types of writing we allow here, it boils down to any writing or writing discussion about Sims games. This includes commentary-style legacies and challenges, not just stories, and also TS3 pieces. I know we haven't advertised in any TS3-only communities, and I'm not willing to join a community like that just for advertising purposes. If there's anyone in this community who is fairly well-known in any of those communities and is willing to advertise SWC there (with permission from that community's moderators if necessary) you don't even need to ask me or any of the other mods here.

- Spread the word about this community! If it makes sense, advertise it in any community or forum or even your journal.

Also, I'm willing to here any suggestions about improving this community, in case anyone has issues with the way it is run currently.
