Housekeeping: Moderators, Rules, and Polls

The Comment Section
First, I want to say I think everyone's been really good lately. The influx of shitposts and trolls has been relatively low... Okay, at least it hasn't been egregious or anything. Good for you guys! Keep it up!
So, I know you're probably wondering where GothBellaGoth is. Truthfully, I don't know if she'll be coming back. I haven't heard much from here and I've been doing the best I can doing everything by myself. I've gotten offers for moderators so far none have been able to do the work due to circumstances outside of their control. While I'm glad we've been getting so many comments it's hard for me to keep watch on the comments.
Now, I'm more lenient on comments than Bella was (probably to a fault) but I simply just can view ALL the comments. I've heard several make comments about it becoming like 4chan (which I think things have gotten a little better but that's beside the point) and I'd like to enforce more rules but it's difficult when it's just me.
So, we have a few options:
- I just keep doing things how I normally do and keep trying to find more moderators.
- Screen all comments except registered users.
- IP logging (which is easy to circumvent, and I don't like the idea of potential moderators seeing IP addresses)

SimSecret Backup
I talked to the blog owner at Simsecret.tumblr.com already (If you haven't followed them you should) but I'm attempting to create a backup to SimSecret should anything happen. I'm attempting to mirror on DreamWidth but due to the MASSIVE number of comments and posts that the blog has accumulated over a decade and a half, it's a slow process and I don't know if the automatic post importer will be able to handle the load. Obviously, things here will still work exactly the same. We'll just have a backup should anything happen.

SimRants and other Communities
So, this is a weird one: we keep getting two distinct groups in the comments section. I keep seeing sexual fanfiction and also super long involved rants about creators and community drama. We used to have communities for such things SimKinkMeme and Sim_Rants (among others) for sexual content and longform discussion of community happenings. Would anyone be interested in communities like that again? Neither admin of those communities seems very active anymore so just reviving them wouldn't be an option, but it might be worth looking into? I could link them at the end of the secrets every week.
Additionally, do you guys want more check ins like this?
