Prosperity Challenge - 7.4 (Days/Years 19-21 - Ebadi and Thigpen 2)
You guys! I am so excited because I just got Pets and Seasons. Now that I'm playing on a better computer, I decided it was time to stop living in 2006 and move into...2007. You won't see the additions until I get a lot more updating done, though. Without further ado...
Ebadi
"Bel, I swear, I feel like I've been pregnant FOREVER."
Ria was getting very impatient with her pregnancy. She resented having to take maternity leave, and spent a lot of time honing her skills so that she'd be ripe for a promotion when she finally returned to work at the hospital.
Finally, during her afternoon nap, the baby announced its arrival.
Amar was there, and was suitably encouraging. It all seemed to happen so fast.
And so little Eliseo Ebadi entered the world - he had his father's hair and eyes, and Ria's skin. Ria felt irrationally hurt that the baby had so little resemblance to her. She also felt surprisingly weary - hadn't she already raised four children?
Maybe she was a little hasty in her return to work.
But Amar and Eliseo adored each other from the start. Ria knew they'd be fine on their own.
She did make sure to be home for Eliseo's birthday. No one could say she wasn't a loving mother.
Eliseo's resemblance to Amar remained strong. He was a good boy, smart and full of laughter.
Ria grew to enjoy his company as he got older and became his own person.
Things with Amar were as good as they had ever been. Everything was going well. Ria was sure of it.
Thigpen 2
Emanual Thigpen was having the time of his life raising his daughter, Denae. Money was very tight, and the housework was sadly neglected, but he loved everything about being a father.
She was just so darn cute!
Gwen was often busy with work, but she spent as much time as she could with Denae.
She also made sure Emanuel knew how much she appreciated his help. So far, they'd been able to avoid hiring a nanny. Nannies had a bad reputation in Winterfell, and the Thigpens were determined to raise Denae on their own as much as possible.
Her toddler years came to an end at last. (Check out that counter...ewww.)
She turned out to look very much like her mother.
Emauel celebrated a job well done with a rare night out. He hoped Denae would also inherit her mother's rhythm.

-Recall that Ria started life in Winterfell as a teen, with four younger sisters and a grandmother. It's no wonder she's feeling ambivalent about kids.
-She really did drop the baby and twirl into her work clothes. Nice.
