The Frost Legacy 1.5
I know it's been months since I played this legacy. I'm a horribly neglectful bitch, huh? Anyway, I've spent the past several days rectifying the situation, and finally finishing Generation 1.
In our last episode: Nellie became more and more troubled, Moonbeam and Ticky discovered the joys of bonding over chess and Keira died an early death thanks to the resident ghost Tyrell, but was brought back by Moonbeam's epic win over the powers of darkness Grim.
I don't think things will ever go stale between these two. They still take advantage of any opportunity to sneak off to bed. Seriously, as soon as Moonbeam had finished her breakfast, Ticky whisked her away for some alone time.
Moonbeam: "Please don't die before me.... I couldn't bear it...."
Keira: Hmmm... the computer appears to have stopped working....
Clearly Keira is the brains in this family...
Now that Ticky is an elder, she finally actually wears a uniform to work! She's the most smokin' repairwoman Legacyville is ever likely to see, yes?
Though Moonbeam now earns an income of her own, she still can't stay away from the pool halls. However, this morning she met her match in Macy Tyler (my newest sim, btw - I adore how she's turned out!) and had to part with some of her hard-earned simoleons. She was not pleased.
... however, Moonbeam later redeemed herself....
Cysteine: "Damnit, that was my rent money!"
Moonbeam: "Aww, cheer up. You see that handsome hunk of man meat heading towards the bar? That's my son, and he's single. You should go introduce yourself..."
Cysteine: "I'm gay."
Moonbeam: "Oh. Sorry."

Moonbeam: "How about you? Want a date with my son?"
Macy: "Gee, lady, I just came here to play pool...."
Meanwhile, back home...
Nellie: "So what do you say we make this more interesting...? If I win, you hand over those stunning shoes and if you win, you can have somthing of mine..."
Hayley: "You're on!"
Nellie: "Hell yeah!"
Hayley: "You are not getting my shoes! You'll have to take them from my cold, dead body!"
Nellie: "Somebody's a sore loser..."
The gorgeous Milja Novak by pennysims dropped by to lose to Nellie at poker as well. She, however, was not a sore loser...
Keira rediscovered the bubble blower. And forevermore was rarely seen indoors again....
Moonbeam has become quite confident of her cooking skills and was keen to prove herself in a competition. Therefore, she took Ticky and Keira along to enjoy the culinary wonders of Sue's Secret Kitchen.
Moonbeam: This soup will gain me a blue ribbon for sure!
The bartender at Sue's Secret Kitchen has had a few too many of his own drinks....
Keira: "What's your *hic!* sign, professor?"

Moonbeam: I totally have this in the bag....
She didn't. Just look at that baked alaska Gallagher Fennell made - Moonbeam never stood a chance!
Ticky had a great time as well. Making chocolates and money!
Please note: I have mods to make all the career rewards, such as the chocolate factory, autonomous. Just in case you were thinking I was being cheaty and directing Ticky to do stuff....

Nellie: "Uh-huh.... I need to go over here now...".... somebody doesn't get out much....

... as it turned out, there was a reason Nellie wasn't feeling too charitable....
Nellie: "So, Octavius.... your brother hasn't called me once since he finished high school.... does.... does he not like me anymore...?"
Note: For those who don't read The Fennell Legacy, while I was playing them Nellie developed a relationship with Des Fennell, one of the spares of his generation....
Octavius: *sheepish grin* "Look, I don't know what you guys had going on, but Des is probably really busy... you know.... what with having a job and an apartment and such...."
Nellie: "Oh..... oh....." *sigh* "Well, if he's not as keen as he said he was about marrying me when I become heir, I guess I'll have to find somebody else.... yeah... there's always the matchmaker..... and maybe I'll get a genie lamp and wish for beauty or something... "
Robert: The pretty, funny girl is single!? Score! *gloat*
Keira. Really not the brightest crayon in the box. Just look at that empty shower.....
Moonbeam: "Hah! You didn't even see that hit coming, did you?"
Ticky: "I feel dizzy...."
Keira: "Come on, hit me! I am just full of teenage angst and aggression needing an outlet!"
Ticky: "Okaaay.... meh, what the hell? Show me what you've got!"

Nellie: *still bes full of Moonbeam-like rage*
Moonbeam: "Shocking, isn't it?"
Keira: I'd better clean this puddle before Mom gets electrocuted for real....
Ticky: "Why does she still shock me like that after all these years? My heart just can't take any more of those painful pranks and humiliations!" *sob*
Keira: *bes super awkward* "Awww, c'mon... you know she loves you really...."
Moonbeam: I wonder what the Fennells are up to.....
Moonbeam: "How dare you come in to my house and poke me! I'll freakin' kill you!"
Gallagher: "But... but you were spying on me...." *wibble*
Moonbeam: "Damn right, I was. And I know your dirty little secret, Gallagher Fennell. I know you're seeing more than one girl, and if you don't want them to hear about it, you'd better be a co-operative little bunny rabbit, see?"
Gallagher: ..... *tears*
Moonbeam: "Hey Octavius, check out this kickass dance move!"
Octavius: "Wow, it kinda reminds me of Elaine from Seinfeld..."
Gallagher: "That was just lovely, Moonbeam." *oozes insincerity*
The adorable Storm King by charterzard. I kinda wish now that I'd not been lazy the day I put her in the hood, and actually changed her skintone and eyes to non-maxis-match ones, but what's done is done.... She's still beautiful either way, of course, but if I marry her in anywhere I'm running the risk of maxis match eyes in my spawn in such a non-maxis match hood....
Storm: "Well, hello there, handsome! What's your sign?"
Gallagher: "Sagittarius, the most philosophical of all the signs....."

Moonbeam, once again hustling other sims out of their simoleons. However, she did make friends with Adam here over their game, so it's not all sinister....
Moonbeam: "I'll have a cappucino, please."
Barista: "I hate customers. Especially you! I've seen you, coming in here all the time playing pool. Countless times you've been less than a foot away from me, and have you ever once taken the time to say a kind hello? I don't think so."
Moonbeam: "... shall I go speak to your manager?"
Barista: "Coming right up, Ma'am." ... and I'll spit in it while you're not watching....
Adam: "Why can't you and I be more than just friends, Moonbeam? Is there something wrong with me?"
Moonbeam: "Oh, honey..... I'm happily married to a beautiful repairwoman.... and even if I wasn't, I'm so far from straight that it could never happen. It's not you, I promise..."
Oh my! Samara by 6akalaka1 enjoying some photobooth time with my Tyler! I'd be happy that he's found somebody to love since Carrie Fennell, but ewww, he is so not good enough for her! There were crushing hearts afterwards, too...
For once, Mrs Crumplebottom and I are in complete agreement. It may never happen again....

Moonbeam wanted to make a wish, so I had her wish for money. Just once. Wishes are precious and may be needed later.... and besides, the family did need money... they've been sitting between $500 and $1000 forever....
Moonbeam has stooped to hustling her own son out of his simoleons. For shame!
Moonbeam: "Oh, crap! I just turned around when I shouldn't have, huh?"
Yup. Enjoy.
Keira: "I don't get why I have to clean up the whole house just because I pranked you...."
Moonbeam: "Maybe I should have Gallagher do it instead?"
Nellie: "Mom, leave the man alone! He's been here for two days now! Let him go home!"
Yeah, for some reason Gallagher wouldn't leave. He kept sleeping in everybody's beds and such (uninvited) and was never awake during the time when sims usually go home autonomously. He was literally there for days....
Ticky: "Ugh... it's so early.... why does Moonbeam want to go out for breakfast before the sun is even up?"
Aww, you'll enjoy it, sweetie. And besides, she only has a couple of days left of being controllable. I am fulfilling every single want she has while I still can.
See? I told you you'd enjoy it!
Ticky: *glows with happiness*
Moonbeam: "I kissed a girl and I liked it! The taste of her cherry chapstick!"
Ticky: "..... that's... nice..."

Moonbeam + Ticky: *oblivious*
Yes, every little want. Moonbeam and Ticky enjoyed some special time in the car out front....
Followed by their first ever "officially" public woohoo in the photo booth.
Mrs Crumplebottom: "If they weren't my own age, I could criticize them...."
Yeah, for some reason, though she saw the whole photobooth affair, she simply stood there scowling and didn't hit either of them with her purse....
Nellie: *takes after Ticky in the rock paper scissors department*
Moonbeam: What's this nagging pain in my stomach?
It's guilt for what you're about to do, sweetie. But it's what you want, so even though it kills me....
You see, due to public woohoos counting is woohooing with 2 sims, Moonbeam's romance sim side kicked in to overdrive after she and Ticky enjoyed their photobooth time. All her wants after that involved cheating. And so even though it killed me, I had to give her what she wanted.... after all, she had less than 2 days left....
Cysteine: She thinks I'm pretty! I'm crushing so hard right now!
*sigh*
This should have made me laugh and smile like I usually do when my sims are philandering, but it just made me melancholy. Ticky and Moonbeam had such a special love, and now it's ruined forever.....
Ticky: "Huh. She's hugging that girl very.... affectionately, isn't she?"
Millicent: "You know Moonbeam - she's a demonstrative lady. I'm sure it doesn't mean anything..."
Moonbeam + Cysteine: *whisper sweet nothings*
Ticky: "I don't like it. If I so much as see anything resembling a kiss, I'm going out there!"
Keira finally reached adulthood in a teal party dress. Regardless, she's still so pretty! I'll miss her!
Nellie: "Mom, does Keira have to move out? It's gonna be so lonely here without her..."
Moonbeam: "Now, sweetie, it's your sister's decision. She feels like spreading her wings, so let her fly. You want her to be happy, don't you?"
Nellie: "Yeah.... I'll just miss her, is all...."
Nellie: "So c-c-co-cold..."
Stop eating aspic! You just ate like, four plates of it! You're gonna die if you keep this up! It makes you cold just eating one!
Ticky: "That girl you were hugging in the garden yesterday.... it wasn't what it looked like, right?"
Moonbeam: "What? Oh my god! No! She's just having a hard time because her boyfriend dumped her and she really needs a friend right now. Pfft! Silly rabbit - give me a kiss and then go get some sleep - you look like you've been fretting all night about this..."
Ticky: "I feel so stupid.... yeah, I've been fretting.... I'll go get some sleep.... I love you....?"
Moonbeam: "I love you like crazy, cuteness! Dream about me..."
Ticky: "I always do...."
Izza: *dies a little inside*
Stu-Pot by wolf_isa: This girl is almost as blue as her pajamas...
Yup. She can't leave the aspic alone....
Moonbeam: "I missed you so much! Did you miss me?"
Cysteine: "... so much it hurt...."
Moonbeam: "May I have your permission to boldly go where no sim has gone before....?"
Poor Ticky was sleeping in Nellie's bed in the next room at the time. It broke my heart....
Aspic again!!!?? I am so glad you've only about 15 hours until I get to control you!
This was the last want I ever fulfilled for Moonbeam. And it was actually a somewhat selfless one on her part. She wanted to purchase a vacation home, and since she'd used a genie wish for money, she could afford one (though I had to go place and redecorate a modest one for her to purchase). As soon as it was purchased, I had her transfer ownership to Nellie. I'm glad her final want wasn't related to being unfaithful. It was something for the future generations of this legacy to enjoy.
And here we are, Moonbeam, you and I. This was the last moment I ever had you selected as a controllable. Right after this, I clicked on Nellie and saved. May you enjoy your uncontrollable years. Even though at the end you broke my heart, I had so much fun controlling you. Be good to Ticky in your uncontrollable twilight years, my dear. She deserves so much better from you after the many years she's spent fending for herself and loving you unconditionally. Really, be good to her....
