Gameplay: March 5th 2010
When we last saw Sam, she'd just been expelled from college. She decided to buy a cozy home in Pleasantview's downtown area, and spent much of Monday morning decorating it to her liking - as much as was possible with the simoleons she had.
Sam made a phone call to Gordon King, the guy who once burgled her college home. She was keen to let bygones be bygones and make peace. Apparently Gorden felt the same way - the two put aside their past and became friends. Sam then fired up the computer kindly left on her doorstep and immediately found a start in the culinary career as a Dishwasher. This was perfect - her LTW is to become a Celebrity Chef. She later invited her new friend Gordon over, who brought along Sam's fiance, Jared Starchild. The welcome wagon arrived around the same time, consisting of Don Lothario, Martin Ruben and Dina Goth. After inviting everybody inside, Sam settled down with a cookbook to gain a cooking point. She wanted a head start in her new job. A phone call soon followed offering her a subscription to the cuisine magazine, which she accepted. That evening, she decided she wasn't really happy with her green striped dress - it just wasn't her! - and caught a cab to Cold Issue to buy a new dress.
The next morning, Sam called Jared to ask him out on what was to be their very first date. Doing things a little backwards, being engaged and never having dated, but better late than never! Sam and Jared met at Comandgo Emporium. They kicked things off with the obligatory pillow fight in the street, a tickle fight, and a game of red hands. A few caresses and a heavy makeout session later, the two headed inside....
.... for their very first woohoo! And thanks to ACR, Sam became my first ever sim to fall pregnant through risky woohoo! The date scored as a dream date and Sam immediately took a cab back home.
Once home, she called her new acquaintance Dina Goth for a chat.
Sam: "What do you mean, I could be pregnant? No way! I know I heard somewhere you can't get pregnant your first time!"
Dina: "That old wives' tale? Get a test, girl!"
Sam declined to give in and take a pregnancy test - she was too excited about heading off to her first day of work. Her bosses were impressed with her dishwashing skills and promoted her on her first day to Drive Through Clerk.
Jared snuck by in the early hours of the next morning to leave a stereo for Sam to commemorate their date. Somehow I don't think she needs a stereo to remind her - there's something on the way that will remind her far better! Sam was appreciative though, and as soon as she got up she turned it on for a smustle session. All the dancing made her queasy, though, which made her a little worried... She called Dina and asked her to come over - Dina was pregnant, and she'd know the symptoms! However, the pregnancy started showing before Dina arrived and Sam's suspicions were confirmed.
Dina: "I told you so..."
Sam: "Yeah, yeah, I know!"
Note: I did not choose Dina's outfit. I actually deleted her outfit and forgot I had anyone wearing it since I haven't played her in so long. What she's wearing now is what she randomized in to. As soon as I play her, I'll rectify the situation. I'm well aware that her outfit and hair combination is wrong!
Sam and Dina have actually become very good friends. An unlikely pair, but I think that both of them expecting their first child at the same time is enough of a mutual interest for them. Sam's pregnancy made her tired though, and she was in bed by 5pm....
.... and up again at midnight! (Note: I love that her pajamas also have a pregnant morph!) She spent a little time dancing, but felt too ungainly. She decided to spend a little of her promotion bonus on an easel and try her hand at painting instead.
