My mother had another fall, on Sunday morning, and strained a muscle in her back which meant that she couldn't do much for herself for a while. She's spent the last few days in hospital, under observation (and having some tests that were already scheduled for this week carried out), but they're planning on sending her home today if the early-morning & late-evening carers whom she'd had since the previous Monday (who might now be supplemented by a visit around the middle of the day, to help with her main meal) can be booked again this quickly. I'm off to see her now, and helping her settle back in at home -- combined with the fact that the library where I use the internet will be shut for the holiday anyway -- means that I'll be offline from now until [at least] sometime on Tuesday. Sorry I haven't been around much lately...
