i love lamp.
i get my schedule monday and i think it's freakin awesome. economics, band, creative writing, aide, senior release. sounds ridiculously easy, right? i was so very happy about my schedule, that is, until i actually went to my classes. hannah, although wonderful and incredibly entertaining, was about my only good friend in economics. band was band and creative writing is a joke. honors class? whatever lol i did enjoy not doing anything for two days, but once i found that my only friend in there was Jason Sears, i knew my schedule was messed up.
there's this thing about band nerds, we always have each other in every class. it just works that way. noticing my friends, or lack thereof, in all classes i casually brought it up to my former counselor when i was "aiding". she took a look and realized it was all screwed up. i love Mrs. Wyly she took such good care of me. she also made my schedule awesome...and much harder. whatever, i figure if i'm at school might as well be with my friends in class than be in easy boring classes, right?
so after all the schedule trauma my schedule's much more entertaining and fun. first is english 5 with an awesome teacher. my first day in that class, today, i found that i have a test on summer reading tomorrow. that's terrific considering i barely read. i came home around 6:30 and took a looong bath with my book and got to page 120. good thing i love mythology and good thing my brother got me the book for my birthday. i'm such a dork :) second period is band still and third is economics with a lot more ppl, including my favorite ADELAIDE! i think it's the first class we've had together since freshmen year or something...okay maybe not, but who's counting? fourth is government with a lot of my ppls too. yes, the class is boring, but it's one million times better than my previous schedule.
today we finially got drill for our show and put 6 pages on the field. good band :) things seem to be going so much smoother this year for some reason. maybe because it's simple the beginning and we haven't hit crunch time. i don't know, but i hope it lasts.
right after band tomorrow i have to go to dance to learn dances for company auditions. TALK ABOUT KILLING ME PPL! garrr. i hope next year is fun. i miss tabi so much and really hope she choreographs something for us. last year was by far the most fun i've had dancing.
i better study some more of this mythology. i can't get all the stupid names straight. geez, why couldn't they have named them jack or sam or bob rather than pyramus and adonis or one of my personal favorites *Hephaestus* you just know that cat is cool by that name.
