"People have difficulty projecting forward and predicting how they would feel in response to future emotional events and decisions."
From Social Psychology, 6th edition by Brehm, Kassin, and Feim.
So in other words, people make decisions and have problems realizing how those decisions are really going to make them feel down the road?
Strange. I suppose I disagree. I guess I think people should think before they act more often. I guess I agree with the the anecdote that "You've dug the grave you lay in."
I suppose I just get frustrated with human race trying to make excuses for stupid choices they make. Suck it up. It's your fault, not your psyche's. You could have done something different. You could have thought about how you would feel more. Don't give me this nonesense about people not being able to accurately predict how they will feel about something. I don't want to hear it.
So lay in the ground and whine all you'd like, I'm gonna go out and live my life and take responsibility for my own stupidity instead of blaming it on the unconcious.
Lets take a vote.
Nature or Nurture, which is a greater effect on personilty, behavior, and social interaction?
