Title: Intoxicated
Pairing: Ryo/Tegoshi
Rating: PG-13
Summary: A night out with Ryo is the inspiration for Tegoshi’s new lyrics.
Author’s Note: For lizzfan. Inspired by Tegoshi's new dirty lyrics. Prompt: dark bar, driving in the night, neckties.
I hadn’t seen the subbed version of this appearance before I wrote the fic, so the way that Ryo finds the lyrics is different in my fic from real life.

He shouldn’t have worn the necktie, he decided. It suffocated him in the heat of the club, and he kept tugging it loose, then quickly tightening it, to later loosen it back out again. But he had wanted to look nice on his sort-of date. Afterall, it wasn’t everyday he had been asked to eat out by Ryo.

Tegoshi wondered why Ryo had told to meet him at such a loud and dark club, but then decided that maybe he really didn’t want to know. Tegoshi sighed and checked his wristwatch, but realized that he’d gotten there a lot earlier than need be and Ryo still had ten minutes to arrive. He slouched against the booth he’d gotten for them and put his feet up onto the seat on the otherside and sipped slowly at his drink. He turned down a few girls that came over and asked him to dance, and was soon starting to grow really impatient when he heard a familiar voice call his name.

Tegoshi looked up to see Ryo struggling through the crowd, waving at him. He sat up straight and grinned as Ryo slid into the seat across from him, looking flustered.

“Sorry, Tego-nyan. Got caught up in traffic,” Ryo said as he shrugged off his coat and flashed the younger boy a smile. “Were you waiting long?”

Tegoshi shook his head. “No, just a few minutes.”

“Good,” Ryo replied. “Have you ordered any food yet?”

Tegoshi shook his head again and gave Ryo an apologetic look.

Ryo smiled and reached over to pat his head. “It’s okay. I’ll go get us something.”

Tegoshi beamed and Ryo left for the bar.

*

He was drunk, but Tegoshi woudn’t have expected anything else; they were at a bar and it was Ryo, even Tegoshi himself was starting to feel the effects of that last drink. The music seemed louder, but not in an annoying way, rather more enticing, alluring, and when they played a song he particularly liked, Tegoshi couldn’t help sway along to the music.

Ryo grabbed his arm just before Tegoshi toppled out of his bar stool. “Careful,” he said, voice low.

Tegoshi laughed and pulled himself back up, leaning close to Ryo and resting his head on the older man’s shoulder, singing along with the song beneath his breath. Ryo made a comment about his singing being worse as a drunk, but Tegoshi laughed it off and pulled on Ryo’s sleeve. Ryo stared down at him through hazy eyes and Tegoshi smiled against Ryo’s lips and whispered, “Ne, Ryo-tan, let’s dance.”

And before Ryo was able to agree or object, Tegoshi took his hands and led him to the dance floor.

*

They were laughing and giggling; stumbling and tripping on their way back to Ryo’s car. It was dark out now, the moon shined brightly in the cloudless sky, a soft breeze played with their hair.

“Drive me home, Ryo-tan?” Tegoshi breathed against Ryo’s neck and Ryo didn’t, couldn’t resist, and fumbled with the lock on the door.

Ryo got into the driver’s seat, but before he could shut the door, Tegoshi slid inside with him, somehow managing to sit down upon Ryo’s lap and shutting the door after him. Ryo blinked at him, but Tegoshi just tilted his head to the side, a smile spreading across his face as he reached a hand around Ryo’s neck and pulled his face close. Before Ryo could realize what was happening, Tegoshi had pressed his lips against Ryo’s gently. But Ryo was too drunk to try and be gentle and put a hand on Tegoshi’s hip while the other threaded through the younger boy’s hair. He slipped his tongue past Tegoshi’s lips and kissed him hard, eagerly, and Tegoshi whimpered slightly at the contact which only urged Ryo on more, but Tegoshi didn’t seem to mind.

Tegoshi shifted slightly against Ryo’s lap and his elbow moved back and pressed against the steering wheel, the loud honk of the horn causing them both to jump and pull apart. Ryo stared at Tegoshi who was breathing heavily through wet parted lips and even though this probably wasn’t the best idea, he wasn’t able to think of anything other than the fact that Tegoshi had slipped his hand beneath his shirt and was now tracing his fingers delicately along Ryo’s abs.

Ryo swore beneath his breath and pushed Tegoshi back by the shoulders, steeling his eyes. “Get in your seat,” he said sternly and Tegoshi did as he was told, though reluctantly, his lips jutting out into a pout that made Ryo want to take back his words. However, he forced himself to turn on the ignition and head into traffic, heading instead to his house, Tegoshi turning to glance at him for a moment when he realized the direction they were going.

Ryo almost wanted him to refuse, to tell him to take him home, but all Tegoshi did was sit quietly in the passenger’s seat, staring thoughtfully out the window.

*

The door slammed shut behind him and Tegoshi pulled Ryo close by the collar of his coat and kissed him hard. Ryo moaned against his lips and stumbled as he kicked off his shoes, hands tugging at Tegoshi’s jacket which soon fell to the floor along with his own.

They tripped on their way down the hall, Tegoshi giggling and pulling Ryo back up for a kiss, hands sliding under his shirt and lifting it over his head. Ryo tugged on Tegoshi’s tie, had trouble undoing the knot and growled angrily when it wouldn’t come off. Tegoshi brushed his hands away and slowly, seductively almost, in a way that made Ryo momentarily wonder just how drunk Tegoshi really was, pulled off the tie and let it flutter down to their feet. Ryo grabbed Tegoshi’s shirt and pulled him close, Tegoshi laughed against his lips as he wrapped arms around Ryo’s back.

Ryo looked down at him questioningly, warningly even, and Tegoshi just smiled before kissing him reassuringly. Ryo didn’t need any more encouragement.

*

Tegoshi jolted awake and blinked rapidly, adjusting to the dim light. His head felt like it had just been pounded on wth a hammer, his throat was dry and his body ached. He moved to sit up but a weight across his stomach prevented him from doing so. Confused, he looked down to find Ryo sleeping peacefully bside him and then everything came back, a smile slowly stretched across his lips.

Tegoshi glanced at the clock on the besdie table and jumped slightly, surprised to find it was almost eight in the morning. He had to get back home soon or he’d miss his classes that day. Deciding not to wake Ryo, he carefully moved the older man’s arm off his waist and quietly got out of bed, pausing to make sure Ryo was still sleeping. He dressed quickly and left the apartment, deciding he’d maybe call Ryo after he was done with classes.

*

“Tegoshi, is this your tie?” Ryo asked the next time NewS met.

“Oh, yeah!” Tegoshi exclaimed, taking the tie and beaming at Ryo. It had been three days and both of them had been busy with things that they hadn’t had time to talk about what had happened. Tegoshi had wanted to call Ryo up but knew that Ryo had a lot of work to do and didn’t want to bother him when he knew he’d see him soon anyway. Now he finally saw the opportunity to talk to Ryo about it.

“Thanks, Ryo-tan, I must have forgotten it at your apartment a few nights ago.”

Ryo stared at him. “When were you at my place?”

Tegoshi blinked. “Uhm, well-”

“Oh!” Ryo said suddenly and Tegoshi perked up. “You stayed over that night after we went drinking, right?”

“Well, actually…” Tegoshi trailed off when he realized Ryo was no longer listening and had walked over to join Yamapi.

Tegoshi stared after him with disbelief. H-Had Ryo forgot? He had been pretty drunk, Tegoshi knew that, but he couldn’t believe that Ryo had completely forgotten. All of it, everything, he didn’t remember any of it. Tegoshi wasn’t sure if he should laugh or cry at that moment, because he remembered, he knew all everything that had happened, had enjoyed what had happened, would very much like it to happen again, but Ryo…Ryo didn’t remember.

Tegoshi clenched his hands into fists, his tie wrinkling in his grasp and he glared at the back of Ryo’s head. Ryo must have felt the sudden waves of anger in his direction and turned around to look at Tegoshi.

“Is something wrong, Tego-nyan?” he asked as the rest of the group stopped talking to look curiously at the youngest member.

Tegoshi’s glare intensified and he shouted, “I hate you, Ryo-tan!” And before any of them could react, he had stormed out of the dressing room, the door slamming shut in his wake.
Silence followed and four pairs of eyes slowly shifted onto Ryo who looked absolutely shocked.

“What did you do?” Yamapi finally asked just as Koyama got up and left in search of Tegoshi.
Ryo could do nothing but stare at the spot where Tegoshi had been standing and reply, “I-I have no idea.”

*

Ryo opened the door to the dressing room and hesitantly walked inside. Yamapi was still finishing his shoot, and the other members were scattered about the room; Shige had a book in his hand and Koyama was resting on his shoulder, and Massu flipped through a magazine at the table. Tegoshi was sitting on the couch with his laptop propped up on his legs.

“T-Tegoshi,” Ryo said quietly, flinching when Tegoshi stiffened and turned cold eyes onto him. “They’re calling you up for your shoot.”

Tegoshi nodded and set his computer on the table in front of the couch before leaving without a word. Ryo sighed and sat down on the couch, staring blankly around the room for awhile, when something on Tegoshi’s computer caught his eye. It was a folder that read “lyrics” and curiosity got the better of him. Ryo clicked on the folder, quickly casting cautious glances at the other members, but Shige and Koyama had both fallen asleep and Massu was too engrossed in his reading to realize Ryo had even returned.

Ryo clicked on the most recent word document and scanned the contents, trying desperately not to laugh at the lyrics. He quickly wrote the lyrics down on a sheet of paper he tore out of Shige’s notebook, and then closed the windows he’d opened, just as Yamapi walked back inot the room. Ryo shoved the lyrics into his pocket and gave Yamapi an innocent look that Yamapi didn’t buy for a second. Ryo grinned and Yamapi rolled his eyes, deciding he didn’t want to know, whatever it was.

When they were told the next day about a Hey!Hey!Hey! appearance coming up, Ryo finally found a good way to talk about the lyrics he’d found. And along with it, a way to get Tegoshi to talk to him. If he got Tegoshi riled up, he’d have to crack and yell at him about it and Ryo could find out what was wrong. The younger boy’s attitude hurt him more than Ryo would ever admit. When their manager asked them for the information about the other members, Ryo immediately handed over the lyrics without a doubt.

*

They laughed on their way back to the dressing room after the Hey!Hey!Hey! filming. Koyama and Shige teased Tegoshi over his dirty lyrics, but the youngest member no longer looked embarrassed, and actually agreed to Yamapi’s joking request to have him sing it for them.
“Eh, where’d Ryo-chan go?” Yamapi asked as he realized he was gone.

“Think he said he was going to the bathroom,” Massu replied just as the door opened and Ryo walked in looking slightly irriated.

He glanced at Tegoshi as he passed by when he thought the boy wasn’t looking, but Tegoshi looked up at the same moment. Ryo quickly lowered his gaze and headed over to get his things.

Tegoshi frowned and got to his feet. He went over to Ryo, grabbed his hand and dragged him out of the room without a word, Ryo’s protests falling on deaf ears and the rest of NewS staring after in confusion. Tegoshi led Ryo into an empty dressing rom and shoved him against a wall, Ryo’s eyes widening in surprise.

“What the fuck, Tegoshi!”

“Why did you bring those lyrics?” Tegoshi asked instead.

Ryo blinked and Tegoshi stepped clcoser to him. “Uh, well, I found them and they amused me. You shouldn't be writing such things.”

“Well, it was Ryo-tan who inspired me,” Tegoshi replied easily.

“What do you mean?” Ryo asked, not understanding.

Tegoshi stepped closer still and Ryo suddenly felt heat rush through his body, but that may have been because Tegoshi was slowly tracing his fingers up his arm, teasing and soft.

“Do you remember last week when we went out drinking?”

Ryo nodded slowly. “Yes, so?”

“Do you remember all of it?”

Ryo stared at him. “We went drinking. Then went back to my place, and you stayed over. When I woke up in the morning, you were gone.”

“You really don’t remember, do you?” Tegoshi pouted and his eyes looked somber.

“Remember what?” Ryo demanded, but when Tegoshi just stared expectantly, Ryo continued, “God, Tegoshi, you can’t expect me to remember everything! What the fuck ha-”

Ryo’s eyes widened as Tegoshi grabbed his collar and pulled, their lips meeting midway. A surprised, but pleased moan escaped Ryo’s throat, but was muffled against Tegoshi’s mouth as the younger boy slid his tongue past Ryo’s lips, kissing him hard, hot and eagerly, trying as hard as he could to make Ryo remember.

A moment later, Ryo shoved Tegoshi back and exclaimed, “W-What the hell was that, Tegoshi?”

“Do you remember now?” Tegoshi said, slowly licking his lips.

Ryo swallowed hard, his mind working fast, rewinding to a few nights ago and suddenly realization dawned on his face.

Tegoshi beamed. He moved closer to Ryo, their bodies flush against the other, Ryo grabbed his hips and Tegoshi threaded fingers through Ryo’s hair, smirking.

“I think I should pay Ryo-tan back for helping me with my lyrics,” he whispered against Ryo’s lips.

Ryo grinned and answered, “I think so, too.”

end.
