Custom Content Issues
Hi, so I'm having a bit of trouble with custom content. It doesn't seem to work in my game. I recently got the base game a few weeks ago and I installed it both on my mac (laptop) and my desktop PC. I downloaded the exact same custom content (from the booty) for both computers. It works perfectly fine for my mac, but on my PC, when it shows up in CAS, the preview picture shows a bald sim or nothing at all. When I select it, it looks like it is supposed to on the sim's head, but as soon as I click to accept the family, the sims with custom hair are bald.
I've seriously tried everything. I've double, triple and quadruple checked that the folders and .package files are all in the right place. I even installed the helpermonkey on the off chance that I just stupidly overlooked something. I've uninstalled and reinstalled about three different times, and I've redownloaded my custom content several different times. I also tried checking my custom content a little at the time to make sure I didn't have any buggy cc. (But as I said, I have the exact same stuff on my mac and I haven't had any problems with it.) I even tried deleting my cache files. None of that has worked.
I've looked at the tags on this and a couple of other communities and while I've found a few somewhat similar problems, none of the suggestions on those posts have worked. Since I have the game on my laptop too, I don't absolutely have to have it on my PC, but I prefer to play the game with higher graphic settings than my laptop can really handle, so... Anything you guys can think of to help me would be greatly appreciated.
Oh, and I recently updated to the latest patch (and I've moved all my custom content accordingly) and I just downloaded Ambitions in hopes that it might work, but it still isn't...
