Okay, so I know the Sims games can take a while to start up if you have CC installed, but I'm starting to feel like it's getting a little ridiculous. I tried to start up Sims 3 earlier, and now over an hour later I have yet to see the launcher pop up. I tried googling it and found out about Delphy's Dashboard which some people say helps, but I play on my Mac and the dashboard apparently only works on Windows. It was taking a bit of time to start up before, but after adding some new CC it's taking much longer than ever. (I do see the icon on the dock though, so I know it's technically started, but nothing else is happening that I can see...)
So the question is, is there a Mac-friendly equivalent, or something else for Macs that might help it load faster? For that matter, does over an hour sound completely ridiculous? I swear it wasn't this bad when I started it up yesterday. (Also, for the sake of asking since I assume you can, is it possible to skip the launcher and go straight into the game? Or is that even worth doing with the way the game's set up?)
EDIT: Oh yes, I forgot to mention, but I currently have WA and the Loft pack installed, and my CC consists of a combination of .packages and .sims3packs (both kinds in separate locations following instructions, so I'm pretty sure they're in the right place). Thanks in advance for your help!
