i have many posts on this blog about how facebook annoys me and they should all certainly be taken with a pinch of salt given how much i buy into facebook and how i do go to facebook, as do many, once i open the internet. heres another thing to add to stupid statuses, misanthropy proliferation and constant social judgment on my list of things about facebook that bug me so much i sometimes think of them even in the 10 minutes lying in bed before i fall asleep. i cant stand that you can tag people in comments. it especially annoys me when someone who has already commented on a post is tagged on a comment. for #$%#$%#s sake the person will be notified about it either way. I also dont really like posts where people are tagged in general. i've definitely been guilty of this kind of thing in the past i think, but still reserve the right to...not like such posts. much like how i once really liked olives but now dont (true story). dont quite know how or why it happened, just did. i also find it quite annoying i dont find facebooks new gimmicks annoying. like the apparently improved chat function or the inbox replacing email service. joining google + is just too much of an effort. the reason why i didnt join facebook when the thundering horde did was because i thought it was too much effort forcing myself to be as on it as everyone else was.
Having run out of things to say, heres a list of things i once liked but now dont
olives
converse shoes
firefox
ink pens
scientific calculators
scottish accents
automatic cars
womens tennis - i've decided the occasional attractiveness of the players doesnt really outweigh the abominable pace and skill of the sport
Now here are some things I once avoided but now enjoy:
cottage cheese
chinese food
suits
american accents
early mornings. still sloppy at this unfortunately.
orange juice
mashed potatoes
eggplant
classical music
hip hop - well this once avoidance was ages ago when i was pretty young my sister dismissed it as crass and i thought she seemed more informed than me. i listen to plenty of hip hop, which by the laws of the zeitgeist make me cool and hip (ha) and my sisters itunes (which i basically copy off) has a sizeable portion of kanye, diddy, eminem, jayz and snoop dogg.
ask me for more details about the vagaries of my tastes and preferences. (factor affecting demend anyone?)
